It doesn't come stock with the red bits does it? I hope not anyway. The stock bike is pretty ugly to begin with...

Please don't be offended, this is all just a bit of fun, and having presented your bike to this thread, expect scrutiny :D

I'm not offended in any way. I thought the stock bike in that chameleon purple was pretty cool with the gum walls until I saw Levi's Gran Fondo bike.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I wanted to hear what others thought. As far my bike, mine is the only one that matters to me, and I'm good with it, red bits and all. :thumb:

I love the Serotta. Not familiar with those wheels, but they work nicely on the retro-modern build. BTW, what year is the frameset from?

qthanh 08-05-18 03:42 PM

The Serotta is hot. The color is fire.

Specialized has a unique ability to turn nice designs into ugly bikes.

OldFartCyclist 08-06-18 06:12 PM

Not quite as colorful as Slick Madone's ... but ...

It’s not hot, but that photo is terrible.

Nothing wrong with that one. White stands out!

I think it’s quite a clever photo- hides the funky seatpost quite well.

I really like that bike. The only issue for me is that the seat post's adam's apple is bigger than mine, and that's saying a lot. I like the glitter color and the use of red. The angles look good. The flow looks good. Sharp bike that dares to be a little different.

Adam's Apple Envy reported to mods. :D

If you need to use photography to hide a part of the bike then, by definition, it is not hot.

While I haven't looked at every photo in this thread, I don't recall seeing a worse photo.

I have a soft spot for Bianchi bikes but I can't stand gum wall tires. That's just me I guess. One thing that is taking away from this image is that you didn't have the camera level which makes the saddle look like its pointing down when its really not; the whole room is pointing down. Overall I like the bike though.

guess I need to go and find a white garage door then :-)

I've never been a big fan of the Bianchi baby blue color but that aside, nice bike. A few points when taking a picture of your bike, the crank arms should be level and for goodness sake lose that bottle cage. Go with carbon next time.

indyfabz 08-07-18 06:43 AM

Got seatpost?

you see- I’ve always found cranks to be a contentious point - some advocate it as a continuation of the seat tube... but with garage door I can soon spin that to 3 o clock... don’t see the issue with the bottle cage - nice, classic design unlike many ostentatious carbon affairs!
I’ll admit post is a little high as it had just replaced a mismatched 3t number so is about a cm higher than it should be . But I’m a lanky rower with monkey arms so it won’t change much :-)

Nope, just need to hold the camera level like you did in your last post.

Is the cage aluminum or stainless? The aluminum ones always grimed up my water bottles. Stainless I am told doesn't. I'd keep it if it was stainless but if it mucks the bottles...
