What a bunch of Nazis. Have the people of Canada ever thought about revolting? I'll be damned if I had to put a light, and a bell on my bike. Also what the hell is a victim fine surcharge? These seem to all be victimless crimes.

Does this mean tandems are illegal in Toronto?

Man, you love callin' people Nazis. These infractions are all similar to what NY state has in place and I'm sure that Ohio has something similar on the books, too (enforcement may be a different matter). It makes sense if you're treating bicycles as vehicles.

I really like it. I would change the gruppo to 6700 and get some black carbon fiber bottle cages, but otherwise it's a sizzlin.

I call people what I see is fit. I am fan of freedom. I don't need the government to tell me I need a light on my bike. When it gets dark, I quit riding, or I put lights on. It's common sense. A bell is just stupid. I am on a freaking bike. I can yell, and it's just as effective.

Just get a nice drive train. Stop pedalling and people will know you're coming.

Wow - most would have blown that off with, "eh, hyperbole," but you feel the need to defend your statement. That says a lot. If you think that the regulation of safety measures is, in any way, shape, or form, on par with the Nazi party policies, you're shamefully ignorant.

Many laws cover what a lot of people would assume to be common sense; common sense isn't quite common enough. Oh, and not that I'm a fan of bells (I don't have one), but yelling is NOT as effective.

My 404s are loud as hell, and my Spinergys aren't quiet either. I only race the 404s, but sometimes I end up on the mup with the Spinergys, and when I stop pedaling people turn around for sure.

Many laws could disappear, and I wouldn't mind. Like Ron Paul said at the GOP debate regarding the war on drugs. "I need the government to take care of me, I don't want to use heroin, so I need these laws." It's ridiculous, the government seems to overstep their bounds every chance they get, and I am sick of it. If we keep on writing all these laws, and restrictions we will have no freedom. It just a difference of principals. It's not safety measures, it's just encroachment of the personal freedom of individuals that makes me sick. If I don't want lights on my bikes in the daytime, I shouldn't have to have them. Just think how stupid these bikes would look with lights, and bells on them, not to mention heavy:

Are you attempting to encroach on my personal freedom to post what I want?

Close, but seriously. I once had a guy in Slovenia hand make me a CF saddle cradle for my seatpost on my Cervelo to save 16g. Adding a light, and a bell, because some suit dummy wants to waste tax money to enforce an idiotic law that serves no purpose is beyond me that's all I am saying, but again more bikes please. I only have a limited amount of pics of my bikes to contribute.
