It's a 52/36 in front, 11-26 back.

No SRM/Quark. Has a Powertap hub.

I'm working on getting the stem shorter as my flexibility increases.

Re - the CLX. I am a big fan of Colnago, but never liked the looks of the CLX - curved top tube, etc. Your's, however, looks the business. Well done. And all reports say they are an excellent ride. Hot.

looks like it's set up to do challenge/charity rides...

Dentist's bike.

Diggin the Colnago, not so much the S5 though.

The bat tape on the CLX actually doesn't look too bad when you are standing next to it, it is Colnago brand cork tape with "Colnago" indented on it. I will change it to Fizik Microtex after it gets dirty in few weeks.

The reason I got the integrated stem/ bar was simple, it looks beautiful. However have I had the chance to choose again, I would pick something else instead. The integrated stem/bar gives no adjustment solutions, not to mention the internal cable routing is very hard to work with and creates frictions for your shifting cables.

My new Crumpton SL

NathanC 01-01-12 05:31 PM

Hot.

fa63 01-01-12 05:41 PM

Sizzling hot :thumb:

Maybe the black on matte logos pop a little more in person, but in that photo, it's too stealth for even me.

Ah yes - much better, very nice.

What's the story with the weave/lay-up/whatever pattern? Looks like semi-random patches of UD fiber, all of which is lost in the first pic.

LesterOfPuppets 01-01-12 06:57 PM

I don't know the story on his layup technique but they look REALLY nice with wet paint jobs on 'em.

3kmi 01-01-12 06:57 PM

I'm so jealous of that crumpton, but Contis on LWs? Gotta get some nicer tires

miyata man 01-01-12 07:31 PM

If you have to ask it's too expensive.

echotraveler 01-01-12 07:35 PM

NOT! (crank angle, computer, wrong gear, garage door, aligned air valves)

the bike makes me drool anyway...

VA_Esquire 01-01-12 07:37 PM

HOT! om nom nom nom nom.

seypat 01-01-12 07:45 PM

I'm not a troll, but I just don't understand. So explain it to me.

Nearly
every bike posted on this thread is black with red and white trim. Or white with red and black trim. The tires are all black with some form of red and white graphics. What exactly separates one from the other? They all pretty much look the same to me. It is the rare one that is not in this color scheme that actually stands out from the rest and catches the eye.

But that is just my opinion, I could be wrong. It would not be the first time.

rc51crazy 01-01-12 07:54 PM

i have a huge dislike of anything flat black..it looks unfinished to me..my be the greatest bicycle ever made..but if they paint it flat black, its a NOT

tomng1989 01-01-12 08:05 PM

That Crumpton is sizzling hot, if I had to give it a temperature it would be beyond 40C. The Lightweights really seal the deal.

They make red Ferraris and they make red Corollas. Just because they're both red doesn't mean they're the same.

Nice build...what's the weight on that? Too bad you couldn't go with the 16 spoke front. ;) Campy would've looked a lot better on that build but no need to start a holy war. :)

The Colnago bar is really nice...would be hard to pass on that...I'm in the city too, where do you ride?
