Good reason.

ViNtAgE carbon. 1988 Calfee/Carbonframes sapphire. I this this is hot . lightweight and vintage look with downtube shifter.
also brown sidewalls.

Needs 0 setback post. Keep C02 in jersey pocket.

Get different bars or rotate those forward a little bit so you can use the drops without sliding right off the ends.

Desertrats97 01-03-12 09:32 PM

I hate to be one of these aholes but the brake calipers are not the same, the bottle cages are not the same and the stem is not the same.
is it the same bike. i mean its nice but do you own 2 or upgraded most of it.
Still hot

Those black CAAD10s are really nice, unfortunately.

climber7 01-03-12 09:54 PM

first of all, your bike doesn't actually look that bad aside from the tower of spacers. not hot, really, but at least give it a chance with a decent picture.

that's not the issue. it doesn't matter how long it is; it matters where you clamp the stem. just because the steerer is really long doesn't mean the stem has to be all the way at the top...unless you need it to be there for fitting reasons, in which case the bike is probably the wrong size (or type). but that's a different problem, i guess.

Wow I'm nervous :p
I'd really like to replace the cages with carbon ones and change the brakes to black sram rivals (weigh less and would match the other black components

nhluhr 01-04-12 12:12 AM

that would be hotter with a more favorable camera angle/perspective.

LesterOfPuppets 01-04-12 12:16 AM

...and white balance.

Those are two different bikes posted by two different people.

NOT! OMG!

vintage has a forum for itself!
cervelo, even if you presented this bike correctly (far from it) id say NOT!

Fogflip 01-05-12 12:25 PM

Took advantage of the Cervelo deal 2011 R3 Rival and waiting on my 2012 P3 dura-ace. Also put on my planet x brakes still having a bit of trouble with them shifting after a few uses. Glad i took advantage of the deal as i was looking at an older tarmac for slightly more. Also the bike weighs in at 15.4 pounds need to shed some more weight.

Definitely a very nice improvement. You should have posted int he what road bike thread first that is the sticky thread. Those centurians were amazing bikes, but it doesn't compare to modern stuff. Enjoy the hell out of that bike and welcome to the forums. Until you take a picture from the side where we can see the bike it is a NOT.

thirdgenbird 01-05-12 01:40 PM

it is too simple for this thread to call hot but i really like it. i love the way the rims, pedals and chainrings match the grey on the frame. very nice build overall. i would call it subhot. if i saw you on the road i would definitely complement it.

Off the box bikes don't do it for me. I'd call it a not.

Very good. Now try to post a color picture of your bike!

Come on it ain't stock. They don't come with white Soul wheels. Speaking of which I like the whole matching, wheels, bartape and saddle, and all. Steerer needs cut, after stem is slammed. Stage it properly and put black chainrings on, maybe red chainring bolts, then it would be fire hot. As it stands about 85deg. White hoods might be a good idea too.

+1
Looks like a fantastic bike. Wouldn't have been my choice of wheels or pedals but to each is own. Without the Saddle Bag i'd call it hot. PX you got a new picture up in a hurry. Very good job. You'll fit right in here. ;)

I am generally not much of a fan of Cervelos but I think this is hot, not too flashy. I love the wheels. Needs different color pedals and maybe a red seat instead of the white.
