I was not being sarcastic. I was just hoping this would put your insecurity issues to rest.

Every picture you post is of someone else's bike. post a picture of one of those bikes in a different setting. Poser

Please tell us how to align the rear valve stem and the crank at the same time on a fixed gear bike. ;)

Baum's GT paint schemes are awesome. I'd like a custom steel steel bike, but Baum is too rich for my blood... but you can bet that my paint job will be heavily influenced by them.

really? The crank and the wheels don't turn at a 1:1 ratio, keep turning the crank until it all lines up properly. It may take a few rotations, but it will happen.

Why didn't you buy him a bike that fits instead of rotating the bars up and slamming the saddle forward?

That's no excuse for an ugly bike.

if hes young enough to still be growing (more than an inch or two) he should be riding a 4000+ dollar bike. I just recently purchased a Noah, only because i've realized im not longer growing (i've been around 6 foot since 6th grade and im now in 10th grade).

When you get older, you'll probably realize that you shouldn't impose your wallet on other people's judgement.

just showing him the error of his ways. I dont care if he ends up wasting 4+ grand on a bike that will never fit, its more funny than anything else.

No, you're assuming that other people have similar values to yours. They don't.

Sherblock 03-01-12 08:45 PM

Yeah, I can't say I agree with what he did (assuming his kid won't fit it, we don't know the whole situation), but I'm not going to say something pretentious like "Just showing him the error of his ways."

Explain: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/fo...p?f=10&t=99838

Quote from that WW thread:

"My starting point was a Vitus 979 back in 1983 and below are the last 20 years of bicycles. A CF Specialized Allez Epic from 1989 which is still a nice ride albeit not very stiff at 9.8kg and my main ride for the last 10 years a Mercx AluCarbon 20th anniversary edition at 8.3kg.
I am training for a double-century ride here in Sweden on June 16th, last time I entered in 2003 I finished in 10:45, but my goal this year is to finish somewhere between 9 and 10 hours. If I don't make it, it won't be the bicycle's fault http://weightweenies.starbike.com/fo...icon_smile.gif"

So your son is 16 but he started riding in 1983? I am sure there is a perfectly valid explanation here.
