This would be hotter without those deep wheels.

It might look better with 38's or 50's, but if he actually races this especially on a fast flat course then they might have a practical advantage.

Appreciate all the feedback.

The chain is a KMC DLC-black and the cages are cannondale gt40s.

What's the handlebar on the Cannondale?

Oh yeah, I'm sure they do. But just coming from the side of aesthetics I think it would look much better with wheels that were thinner, maybe half of what they are. Cool colors though.

The stem and handlebar were the only cannondale-OEM parts I didn't change since they were the sizes I needed. I also wanted a more neutral looking bar/stem without too many labels to match this build.

About the wheels, I took a chance and ordered a set from a seller in China. I ordered 60s and 88s were delivered. Lol.
It did arrive in 5 days and was impressed with the finish and just decided to keep them. Plus, they refunded $75 to keep them so not bad for around $400.

What's up with those wheels? Do you try to ride them on windy days? I can picture a gusting 30 mph cross wind blowing you across the road into a car or if your lucky, into a ditch.

Who did you order them from btw?

I posted my CAAD a while back. Still mostly the same. However, I just bought some Michelin Pro3 Race service course tires that do a good job of matching the pait.

I'm convinced there is nothing with wheels that looks bad in Gulf colors.

I like that bike better than the ridley, is that weird?

my bike doesn't cost even half of what the Ridley costs.. but I think that ridley is UGLY!!

yeah, a pair of 808s, or even a sub 9 rear would be bacon on her bike for sure. :)

I ordered wheels. 303's will not be that visually hot but will be much more functional for a 110 pound person who can only afford one nice wheelset.

I love Ridley Noah's - I think sometimes their paint jobs can be a bit busy though.

Zipps are like bacon...they make everything better.

Post yours and lets compare. Maybe you have a point!

OT: My husband and I just watched an old episode of Iron Chef America where the secret ingredient was bacon. We were trying to figure out what you add to it to make it better, b/c it's already got bacon. Hmmmmm.

I <3 Robots 06-01-12 01:22 PM

You add more!

ilovecycling 06-01-12 03:15 PM

You guys are killing me with the Gulf colors. Even the Ducati is ugly as sin and it's a Ducati for crying out loud! I like orange and I like blue, but the blue is just too flat and the orange is too loud. Just looks feminine and goofy IMO. Please stop praising the ugly bike!

As you age the eyes tend to go bad..nothing to be ashamed of though...may I suggest these as a solution...

+1
Not a big fan of C-Dales but this colorway is nice!!!
I'd buy a bike in these colors, I like how it reminds me of the Porsche, & Ford GT from "back in the days".:D

MajorMantra 06-01-12 05:37 PM

Can't decide if I love or hate the CAAD10. I think I love it, but damn that's deep for a front wheel.
