When are you getting your new frame? You had the custom HT team domane before right?

Thanks. I had the team Domane for about a week, then gave it back as a friend wanted it and i'm always happy with my Madone. My friend got it painted, then built it up with the same wheelset above, and all new Sram RED. It's pretty nice. I'll have to snap a pic and post it up here one day.

I can't imagine painting it as the team color is awesome. I really like the new madone 7 design and color. You should grab one of those :)

They team color Domane is really awesome! I was planning on keeping it team colors, but his bike does look great. As for the team bike that just made a sneak peak, those are nice too. I'm in the market for a wheelset currently, the ones pictured actually are not mine. Just trying a few sets out before I make up my mind.

Swapped on 6510 shifters, a DA RD and new wheels. Bit of a blast from the past, but I like it.

i'm gonna go with not.

there is nothing wrong with the bike and its set up looks good. I'm a tough grader. I tend to compare bikes to say how it would stand up to the all black Crumpton from a few pages ago

what bothers me about this bike is something that has nothing to do with how good of a bike it is - it's the paint job and decals. Especially on the downtube.

Huh! I looked at that bike and thought, "wow, what the hell is that beauty?" With out all the Trek logos and names, it is stunning.

Both bikes a re in two different worlds. the crumpton is fire, but it says, show off to my dentist friends. I like this bike, it screams ready to race.

I haven't posted any pictures of this build with my tubular wheels, so here it goes.

Same here. The Madone is actually rather an elegant shape - shame their branding is so cheesy most of the time.

I've never looked at a Madone and thought "Damn!" until today. HOT!

Pinkbullet3 06-13-12 07:10 PM

Are the Madones and Deng Fu FM028s the same thing? I might as well throw these in too.

Pretty much what's going on here. I ride it a lot, but it doesn't start a lot of conversations. I like that. It wasn't like that when I had an early OCLV with HED wheels a zillion years ago. So many questions... haven't been a Blingy bike guy since.

In my experience blingy bikes are like muscle cars- everyone buys one thinking they'll get all this positive attention from the kinds of people they'd want it from (chicks), but instead they only attention they get is middle aged dudes who just want to stand around and circle jerk about their own blingy bike.

Guess the joke's on me though- I did post in this thread after all.

Thanks! I thought I would throw in a pic of my 14 year old bike, in this sea of helium filled carbon bikes, just for some contrast.

Thanks! It actually has a couple Trek logos on the downtube, you just cannot see them as they are almost the same color as the frame.

Trek is doing a much better job at graphics with their newer models (and it'll keep getting nicer for the 2013 stuff). They are doing a pretty good job of not having the billboard effect.

Thanks again.

Hopefully I decide what wheels I want to get. I'll update photos as things change with the bike.

its the hot or not thread. some bikes are hot (see the trek above) and some are not. don't be all sore about it you should know that when you post on this thread. and yes some where buried in these pages is one of my bikes and its not hot.

I knew something was oddly different...I didn't realize the extra "orbea" logo on the top tube...whats the weight on that?

I'm not sore, I guess I should have figured before I even posted. That's on me.

I own a madone, and my wife rides a MASI, they are quite different. Not sure about the Chinese carbon, but the Madone and MASI are way different.
