Yes hot. Except the handlebar tape....or is that a tribute to Chris Anker Sørensen when he cut up his fingers in the TdF?

destickered wheels and new black tape. thinking about a new lighter fork, and getting the frame powdercoated matte black. maybe red black chainrings too

Understated, but still HOT. I'd go with the black chainrings too.

It's an SRAM "Make the Leap" tape. Kind of a reminder of the "Red" components on the bike

Nice one. But Sørensen would look bad on a Liquigas bike :p

A friend of mine just started a frame building company (Runout Industries) and so I commissioned a custom titanium frame from him. The geometry is based on a KHS Flite 800 (prior to this my "best bike" frame), but with an extended head tube, and a PF30 bottom bracket.

I swapped the components (Campagnolo Centaur) from the KHS, and this is the result. Am I happy? Oh, yeah.... :thumb:

Interesting. It looks like an almost cyclocross geometry right? May I ask what are the dimensions (top tube and seat tube measurements)of the frame?

You can find the geometry on page 15 of this document (mine is the 56cm): http://www.khsbicycles.com/Images/Ge...S_geometry.pdf

It's been interesting riding the new build because I can compare it so closely with the old one (on the KHS frame). The new frame feels a little smoother on rough pavement than the KHS did (although the KHS was/is very nice). The big PF30 bottom bracket is stiffer/less flexy than the old one, and feels like it transmits more power back through the bike. I've ridden the bike up and down some decent hills, and it goes up faster than the old one, and comes down very predictably (no shimmy or wobble at all).

This is my first custom built frame (after many years of cycling!) and it's doing exactly what I wanted it to so far. :)

Love the smooth lines on the titanium frame. Not liking the "extended" head tube though - sticks out like a sore thumb. And if I were you I'd change the stem.

Other than that, nice looking bike :thumb:

jk - was hunting a snowy egret on the way home. He didn't show up so I took some shots with the DSLR of the bike.

primov8 09-19-12 09:03 PM

^^^ The frameset that replaced the frameset that started it all in this thread. HOT.

Hot, nice work on the shot. I have a feeling you're not done yet though -- just a target of opportunity...

Made some changes to the R3 - new RED, more ENVE stuff.

That is HOT, would be even hotter with a matching Enve setback seatpost.

The "older" cervelo frames are aging quite nicely! Hot!

Hot. The first time I've said that with a Giant. It could be hotter.

What's up with the valve cap?
