Can you pop the hood so we can take a peek inside?

They're made down the street from me here in Toronto (Canada).

Not new, but I think it's hot. My winter bike. Dawes Super Galaxy, handbuilt with Reynolds 531 throughout.

I'd say it is stately and beautiful on the "Road hot r not" thread.

I'll give it a "hot" over here: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-Not-(C-amp-V)

New shot with a plain (8' wall of recently plowed snow) and less busy background. More snow means more Sufferfest'ing for now.......

Thanks. It's a beautiful frame. There is the NeilPryde text on the front of the fork blades but looks good.

I moved all my parts from my CAAD10 except the hollowgrams. I want to swap the saddle for a black one. Either the same Romin Evo or a Prologo Nago Evo hard black. Gloss black fizik microtex tape too.

Personally, the white saddle/bar tape combo looks great on this build.

FYI, fairwheelbikes.com has the new Recon "black" cassettes; add the KMC DLC-black chain. :D

Yeah the DLC chain is already in my cart on amazon. My DA 7801 chain is fairly new but could be a backup. My wheels are heavy but built for everyday riding. Running an ultegra cassette and not sure how long the recon would last before shifting goes downhill.

Also I am taking donations for a set of Enve 6.7 clinchers :)

I rode close to 1900 miles on the Merak and the Recon still looks good. I haven't experienced any shifting issues on the rd/cassette; so far so good.

@ Bianchi10 - Nice bike! What bottle cages are those? I'd love to see if they make matte carbon ones in addition to the glossy.

thank you.

Cages are cheap ebay ones. Super light (19g each) and only $10/each. they hold really well, easy to pull bottle out and put back in. Haven't lost a bottle. They are actually the exact shape of the zipp cages, but much lighter.

New red is fantastic as I have been on it for a while from my old CAAD10. The seatpost clamp is hidden and integrated for aerodynamics. The grey part is actually just a band that holds the seat position so if you pull it out you save the seat height. Just below that is the clamp. Very well designed setup. The frame was designed by BMW.

Here is an early design sketch of how it all goes together. The sketch shows it being round but the concept is there:
