My 2014 Specialized Tarmac SL4 build. Weighing in at 14.6 pounds. I would replace my seat for something lighter but its just too damm comfy to shave a few ounces.

A local has a near twin of your bicycle, only difference is the Enve stem, post, and bar. Fire hot, I bet it's heavy.

NathanC 03-20-14 04:29 PM

Tarmac is hot

gc3 03-20-14 05:01 PM

Best Tarmac ever...

Sell that one and apply the money towards a carbon version.

Indeed. Nicely done.

Overall, I think it's hot. I'm not a huge fan of the white fork, and the handlebars are also distracting but maybe that's the angle of the shot.

Thanks,

I guess I need to work on my cellphone camera skills.

Here's a shot with a set of Wolber profile 20's (tubs) on DA 7400 hubs ( just don't have a front tire at the moment)

Besides the green Fizik tape thats left to wrap on, OT Comp One crankset, KMC DLC-black 11 sp chain, Veloflex Masters... this build is done.

It has always been great, but you finally landed on how I would build it.

how was over torque?

HOT Retro bike. I usually like my Retro bikes with DT shifters, but this one looks very well done.

EnzoRWD 03-21-14 11:21 AM

Veloflex - my favorite tires so far. Amazing grip and ride quality.

Lots and lots of logos but somehow they all work pretty well together= HOT.

I'm sure it's great to ride but that Fondriest is meh.

Thanks. And to think I was very close to sending the frameset out to get custom painted. But I'm keeping it the way it is.

Thank you.
Although the OT cranksets require proprietary tools for install/removal, nothing difficult about it. I actually posted up a thread here showing how I was able to install it with and without its preload ring.

Tarmac is hot until you see the DeRosa. Love the De Rosa but GREEN bartape?? Really? It' looks really good in black.

I don't know, looking back, that's got to be one of the best looking Tarmac's on here. Very niiiiiiice.

Hot. Have you considered double wrapping the bar tape with black to it's sorta pin-stripped with black and green.

Thanks. I thought about the Handlebra leather bar tape in black but I really like the Fizik apple green tape I had on the previous handlebar.

Thanks. But a no on the multi-colored bar tape look.

I was thinking largely black with literally like 1 mm stripe of green. I think pure green bars will be too much but hey, it's your bike :).

Not.

Not a fan of the handle bars or seat post and just too generic in general for my liking.
