Campy carbon goes with the Campy group set ...

That look is fantastic if you just put a thing saddle like an SLR on it.

Nothing at all wrong aesthetically with the classic Flite shape. There are very few bikes it looks bad on, and that is not the problem with the Look. It's the steep seat tube angle + slammed forward saddle combined with the integrated stem that make the proportions all wonky.

Plus the giant robo FD looks like a goiter on a bike that small.

I've never ridden the GP4000s, but I've heard good things. The Vittoria and Veloflex tires are usually around $50 a pop.

My Look 675 with Record EPS...

No. I find it horrible, actually.
Saddle is clashing with rest of the bike, a and that front end is... well, horrible.

Just a bad pic angle ... and wrong bars.

Got my cross bike built up with the parts off my road bike that I upgraded earlier based in part on all your help. I won't post a pic here but if anyone is curious its in the cyclocross forum. I'm happy with how it turned out and can't wait to ride it this afternoon. (And, yes, I'm ditching the red valve caps for black ones)

I am also redoing the wheels with black hubs. The red ones were to go with another bike originally but then I decided on this frame. I think once I do that and get that Carbonio saddle it will be perfect.

Put a ruler across the hoods, when you can ONLY see the end of it, then, take the pic...

HOT! As mentioned, a better saddle would make it scorching.

What's with the turtle?

Hah! Didn't even see that. It's like that picture of the "dog driving a car" that you don't see because of the female in the middle of the photo wearing white... If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about.

kansukee 05-02-14 10:13 AM

:) My wife has a few of those ceramic turtles around the patio...I didn't even realize that it was in the picture until after I uploaded it!

ColtJ 05-02-14 10:15 AM

Slight changes since last post.

New tires and bar tape.

Hot! Maybe you could cut the steerer tube and then it'll look even hotter.

Yeah front end still ugly. It's an interesting bike, but not very attractive, to me. With your bike being large with tall headtube, it's even weirder looking.
