OK, modern.
To celebrate my bud's citizenship. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514376 OK, a 1986 model, but the team that rode these was HOT. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514377 Comfort = speed. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514378 I can't lie; I built it because it had orange on it. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514379 UCI min bike. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514380 If you don't think steel is still real, try this 16.34 lb bike, built completely of used parts. Yes, I paid to have the pics done. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514381 I just had to have one when I saw it. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514382 I tri'd. I failed, but it looked good. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514383 |

Your Colnago sounds like my Casati, too, except my bike is white and it's the saddle that's green. :D
I've since put the bike into a crate/time capsule. Too many bikes, and too little room. |

Hot. Even with the bag. It's all bike.
J and D sells a bag that would be perfect on that. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=514397

I mostly hang out with the C&V crowd, so here's a blast from the past. Early 80s Davidson, built right here in Seattle and photographed at our very own 'drome in Marymoor Park:

I like the yellow Centurion and the '85 Cinelli. The Fuji is not hot, but it does warm my heart a little.

Seems this thread has been thoroughly hijacked.

As for the Cdale- solid build, fine bike, but pretty boring to look at. Why do you bother owning the Schwinn? |

Gonna go with this as my favorite of the bunch- that's a seriously classy mix of old and new(er). I know a lot of the more modern bikes are a blast to ride (and nicer than anything I own) but I can't get over some of the tossed-on parts (like the Oval seatpost on the other Merckx).
|
It's true, it's all pretty similar. I've just spent a lot of time around Fuji/Oval/ASI stuff and have trouble seeing it as anything other than OEM junk (though often very nice OEM junk that shares tech with fancy name brand parts. Ritchey seatposts for instance).

Hey, not bad for the price. FSA cranks scream 'cheap bike' but there's no functional reason to mess with them. Reflectors? :)
