Thanks boss.

Here's one to break up all the black. New leftover Fuji Altamira 2.3 Ultegra, 17.4 as it sits. I apologize for the valve stems, just noticed.

I kinda wish Fuji would get a little more adventurous with their paint jobs https://s.graphiq.com/sites/default/...2501129_i2.jpg

But I'll join in on the not-black/Altamira shenanigans. This is a severe discount build while I decide what I'm doing with it. Dead-on 16 lbs without the seatpack, computer head and lights.

You have to be approaching the max spacer stack. Nice bike but that's a lot of spacers.

25mm, yes it is the max, but i'm a old man and not that flexible. Later in this season, I plan on dropping it 10mm and seeing how I like the fit.

Warmer than average. Nice combination of charm and seriousness.

Maybe they shouldn't. What a mess. And the paint scheme isn't the only oddity there; isn't this a Junior's bike?

Bumnah 05-22-16 08:03 AM

I can't help showing it off now that it's done.

You must be in Richmond. I'm sitting here looking at this thread wearing a CBC tshirt (bikes & coffee & coffee & coffee), did you get that frame from Tim?

Bumnah 05-22-16 08:17 AM

Close but no, I got the frame used off craigslist a few years ago.

Nice. Pretty sure the shop owners had those custom painted for themselves and raced them, that frame may be the same one they've used to beat me many times :thumb:

Nah, regular sized bike- it was a team frame for the giro d'italia that never got used. If you think that's wacky/ugly, check out the standard team bikes for those years: Pro Bike: Denis Menchov?s Geox-TMC Fuji Altamira - BikeRadar

Well it's not beating many people these days, but it rides smooth as glass. It's a great bike and I loved the looks since I bought it. Originally it was really pieced together for sale.

Not a bad looking bike, but, that saddle does not do it for me; the stem is a big riser with lots of spacers. Makes me wonder if this frame is sized too small for you. Also, pay attention to Hot or Not chain set up and wheel position for this tread :)

This bike is sweet to the top tube. Above that and it's not good.

Have you ever considered getting the right size of bike?

Ah, my newness to the sport is showing. But knowing that Geox make street shoes - nothing to do with cycling - I figured they had to be a race team sponsor, and what came up when doing a search was a youth development team, not the pro team they used to sponsor.

What's the story with the 1x?

What size should I have?

I've had 2 professional fits, one when I purchased my Madone and the second when i purchased the Emonda.

If flexibility is an issue - and I'm not saying it is or isn't for you, that's up to you - then size isn't the problem, geometry is. A larger sized I-assume-H2 Emonda would require an even shorter stem to fit you. Another frame with the same effective TT and a taller HT is what you should look for, hypothetically.
