IMO tri/tt bikes never ever look hot.

OK, need a Hot R Not critique. After putting my own Tri/TT bike together, I had enough parts to make another one. Or maybe I'm just a bike hoarder. In any case, I'm putting this one together to sell, likely will wind up listing on eBay.
I am not interested in making major $ upgrades to this bike, but if there are some low/no cost ways to move it toward greater hotness please do tell. http://www.meijerphoto.com/ImageDisp...11-15T14:25:43 |

I had to take my beloved Kuota Kredo off the road. The drop outs were corroding (oxidation actually shows up through the carbon weave). I replaced it with an S-WORKS Tarmac but everything hanging off the Kuota was in perfect condition so I started watching eBay for anything interesting in 58cm that was compatible with my parts. I ended up with a Gary Fisher Cronus, purchased from a gentleman by the name of Gary Fisher. Yes, same guy. I thought that was kind of cool but I was not smart enough to ask him to sign it.
Anyway, the result. I'll be the first to admit that my OCD does not rise to the level required of this thread but I'm happy with how it came out. :) I'm very happy with it. It's a bit more relaxed and stable compared to the Tarmac, exactly as I had hoped. |

+ 1 for flipping the stem. I know it's expensive but better wheels, maybe some Flo's they aren't to expensive. If still to much maybe remove decals on current wheels. If they can't be removed paint them black.
Re, wheels: several people have mentioned that and I agree these Eastons do not really look like tri bike wheels. Funny you should mention Flo wheels; I really like them and one of the reasons I'm selling this is to get a set of Flo's new carbon clinchers. I do have a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL's that I had intended to sell separately. I think I'll throw them on this bike and see how they look. Appreciate all the suggestions, gang! |

For me, hot usually has an element of "classic" to it. Far-out spaceship looking bikes do not appeal to me as much. |

I like it. Dig the different background as well.

Sounds funny coming from a Tri guy, but I tend to agree.

I agree. While I'm sure it's a very nice bike, it too loud for my taste. Too much going on with the wheels.
Here is a photo of y bike with black tires but they are 23mm and i prefer the feeling of 25mm (Vittoria are 25mm). |

I agree with you for the wheels/tires are very loud. I swap the frame of my old bike (Opus Alto) with this one a month ago. Is wasn't that bad with the other frame. I'm planing to change the tires with some Conti GP4000S and put a silver chain instead of gold before the next season.

Switched pedals bike looks way better now:
http://i.imgur.com/scKyoYo.jpg?2 The new pedals also have a way more positive click to them and hold the foot better than the Candy pedals. |

Ha! I actually like it better with the gumwall tires. Though, it's no secret I am a sucker of gum/tan/skinwall. Not surprised you prefer the feeling of the larger tires. A much more pleasant riding experience.
