^^^I really really want to like this bike but in the end its just to busy for my eyes....

I really like it but I bet against a white background it would be painful.

The cages are fine.

Now outfitted in Sram Etap! Also got a custom Fetha garmin mount. Hated having a top bar mount because it made the top look uneven. Have a couple rides out on the Etap so far and it....is....AWESOME! Ive always been a shimano fanboy, but let me tell ya, it is so intuitive, easy and fast. Now that I have wireless, it minimizes the cables around the cockpit. That combined with the Fetha garmin mount looks SO good!http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...r/etap%201.jpg

I don't have fiber grip on there.

Both bikes are flaming hot.. what's up with the slammed steer tube? Is it considered safe to do that now days?

Hot! But, I still can't get over the gumwall tires. Oh well, hot anyway :thumb:

That's not fiber grip, it's inbeded into the bars to eliminate using grip paste.

This bike turned out so nice that I am almost not bothered by the SRAM levers and stubby saddle. Great tire choice, btw!

SRAM levers don't look bad, but the eTap derailleurs look hideous.

I can't see the derailleurs when riding.

Last week I replace the 90mm step with a 110mm and dropped it 1cm. It's still quite comfortable and looks better (but that's not as important).

The derailleurs don't bother me one bit. Those SRAM levers just need some style, though. Of course, to each their own. I love the look of the Campy levers on my bike but clearly not everyone agrees with that opinion.

eTap levers are easy to find with winter gloves on. There's no mistaking where they are.

nycphotography 04-17-17 09:10 AM

I'm loving the eTap shifters.

Personally, I hate brakes that pivot side to side, and I hate thumb shifters.

I especially hated shimano when racing cross, where winter gloves made it hard to hit the shifters separate from the brakes, especially when red-lined up a rough dirt hill bouncing all over the place.

My old Red 10 was about the only thing I could like in the winter with bulky gloves. Only one lever to find, and it's impossible to get it wrong.

I'm finding the eTap ergos to be even better. The shifter body is narrower giving a really great feel when standing and climbing, and I always liked the flat tops on sram.

Maybe DI2 would work for me now that it's electronic and the brakes no longer pivot. But the cabling is a hot mess, and it still seems like two buttons will be annoying in the winter w thick gloves. Plus DI2 weighs more.

I really find nothing not to like about the sram groups. The company on the other hand... but save that discussion for other threads.

I feel the same way. Ruins the look of an otherwise very clean bike.

Awesome work on the pic, but not a fan of the spacers and upturned, stubby stem.
