Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My latest purchase is a Retul fit. Holy crap, what an amazing difference! I had no idea that 'eyeballing' and/or a traditional fit could be so far off. If you haven't had a Retul fit (or something similar), I would highly recommend it.

Visited Vancouver on the weekend. Stopped at a LBS to look around. I found this orphan frame staring at me saying, "take me home".
It's a Kona ***** Inc. (chromoly steel frame). Now that I have it home, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the orphan. What can I say, "I liked the color"? Yes.

Anyone know where to find a Kona Carbon Disc Race fork?

My wife and I both had GURU DFU dynamic fits done this spring. My bike setup was close to perfect, but my wife is a happy camper now. All of her contact points changed, resulting in a more aggressive riding position, BUT, the result was a much more comfortable ride. Go figure. A happy wife is well worth the money it cost for the fit.

Had a bunch this week:

(2) Ultegra 6701 chains
Defeet Woolie Boolie socks
P.I. shoe covers
MEC Drencher rain gloves

The last 3 items are in response to the winter that will not end. I should have ordered them sooner.

Cheers!

swapped my handlebars today and the bottom of my stem face plate just fell off Had a very hilly ride yesterday and I could've had a facial reconstruction if I was unlucky.

I'm not sure to be honest. I got my bike built July last year and never touched a thing. Maybe over-torqued by the builder? The face plate isn't deep like the stem above. Anyway, I'm still thankful nothing bad happened yesterday. It would've been a disaster.

Yep I am that guy haha.

Amazon is taking care of me though.

I'm quite bummed though, waited all day and all I got were some questionable fixie wheels.

Sorry I couldn't reply to your PM bianchi10, I can't send PMs yet.

That makes two of us!

If you're curious about the width 46 outside to outside is a little over 44. I'm 6'2" so not that weird.
