Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The print version describes things further. A couple of quotes:

John McCartin (ex-wife's father) "You'll end up making licence plates in jail"
Niewand "And your daughter will be pushing up daisies".

On his wife's champagne "Did you enjoy your champagne? I pissed in that and watched you drink it"

To a male visitor "Don't be here in 10 minutes or you won't be here tomorrow"

Sad.

Hey Munchie. You got your shirt yet? Dang, how good are they? Thylo's outdid himself. Me's a very happy saccy.

BTW, I liked Turkey.

Oh yeah! Fits like a glove, excellent material weight, and the colours are ten times better than in the photo. Would make anyone overcome with joy. I'm so happy I'm gonna use that poxy smiley again

I reckon I'll have to race in it this weekend. I'm bound to get asked who TC are, so PM me your 20 second spiel on what you build and why they're so good Wokka.

Um, what's going on here? You guys have pretty much been talking about bikes. Who are you guys, and what have you done with the "Real" Aussie Thread?

Now, to make a hypocrite of myself, 2 meeages:

Saccy, if you haven't already done so, make a deal with Climbo for his brakes. Looks like I'm not able to get as good a deal as I thought. I do have some levers though.

Climbo, the stem is an Easton EA60, 130mm x 0 degree, from what I can tell. Probably not what you're looking for, unless paired with a rise of more than 1.5".

Good to hear Munchie. You been for a ride in it yet? Did the colours run then leach into your skin, leaving you with a permanent Thylacine tatoo?

Aww, Expat. You're 0 for 2 now with getting me stuff. How many more opportunities can I give you to rip me off?

Nah, thanks for trying. I appreciate it. I'll give climbo a chance to rip me off now.

Well, if you want to pay more than $50, I can hook you right up. Don't know why people suddenly think the stuff is gold. Climbo will make you a good deal, he has less kids than me.

I think that's for the mad scotsman, 130mm would be too long for him I'd say.

Hmmm... bad worm/virus traffic on the web today (started at about 11pm last night). Targetting MS-SQL Server on port 1434 and creating much havoc here. In the 8 hours since it first appeared our firewalls have logged TRILLIONS of packets on that port!!!!!! And that was while 80% of our PC's were turned off !!!

Look out for an increasingly slow day on the net as it spreads across timezones.

yeah, the show stunk, why put her on when they clearly can't stand her being there. Is she going to be on Beat the Boys and all that?? It's a stupid idea and apparently rated poorly. She'll be GOOOOONE soon.

I've never liked her, and I used to turn over when she started blabbing on The Fat.

I can't believe she has a column.

To me, she just sounds like a typical, silly, ranting footy mum, AM radio talkback caller

Maybe I'm misogynistic, but I CAN NOT STAND Caroline Wilson being at all patronising in that football environment.

"thanks, boys"

"I thought your show was very good yesterday, Gerard and Dwayne. You've both been doing a good
job"

AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH
