Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You could become a pro rider. But then you'd have to complain about having to ride in the wind and rain all the time

well yep, that's true, I could complain about the cold this morning.... but by 10am it was fine. 20 degree days is good, 3 degrees in the AM is a bit much.

Got me little Cateye flasher with those stooopid size 'N' batteries.

You should come down to the Fitzroy/BP ride tonight!!

This weather means that the numbers should be right down, so I'll have the guts to get up the front and mess it up with the bike shop boys

[edit] bugger, now I see the problem. The B and the V are right next to each other on the keyboard. Damn

Must be the Spanish pronunciation. B's and V's sound berry much alike in Spanish.

Or Google "DVD region crack" which will give you the code so you can play any region on most any player.

By the way, I have a Cateye headlight and tail light combo package if anyone needs one.

You can't use a mobile on a bike in NSW. Are you saying the camera was set up on the bike path, pointed into traffic, or was it to clock cyclists?

Set up on the cycle path taking cyclist speed readings , be intersting to see what happens , its a speedy piece of path with pedestrian use.

Over here a bike isn't considerd a viechle , though iv got to say they are selective,no helmet, riding accross a cross walk, running a red light,no lights or bell on the bike,no singnaling ect will attract attension from the police, all common sence scenerios, phones should be banned also.

So are they taking readings, or photos? 9 months at the Infringement Processing Bureau, and I can't name the equipment they used in NSW.

If it was NSW, I'd just chalk it up to the government's eternal quest for more revenue. Since it wasn't a camera, maybe they were just just bored?

Over here the speed limit on shared pathways is 30kmh. It is generally only policed in high volume pedestrian areas, like Centenial Park in Sydney for example where the chardonnay set took offense to cyclists doing pace line training. Problems started in the early 90's when huge numbers of mid-lifers decided to jump on a bike again.

I'm only doing a couple of FNWTR races later this year just to get primed for the summer season, so won't need a bike just yet.

I bought a track bike when I was racing juniors. Rode it for a sum total of 600m on the road and then sold it to buy Campag SR dereilleur set instead!.
