Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It could be used in a threating manner. For example, accusing someone of being timid. or even meek

that would really ruin someone's day, we should make sure that doesn't happen - what kind of society do we live in ???

I just can't imagine the backlash of a show like Rove Live in the USA when they had all those blokes doing the naked run for the undies promotion, full frontal nude blokes by the hundreds. It would never get shown over there.

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

On that note, (somewhat) did anyone else watch Acid House last night? Nothing like Trainspotting. They had to use subtitles, because they all talk with their thick Scottish accents, and yew kin beerly enderstend the fookin konts. If I typed a sample line word for word, it would look something like this "You **** ****** *** ****!"

Yep.

Acid House is one weird movie. Pretty depressing, really. Scottish housing commision flats have lost their allure.

Thanks.

I can't see why there's such a big hullabaloo. Even if funding remained at $15M that's still peanuts compared to what's required. It might be enough build a couple of short cycleways here and there, but it isn't going to scratch the surface is it? I bet they spend millions on stupid (ie. non-infrastructure) items like the annual Cycle Sydney ride
