Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

Munchie used to have a rather witty blog detailing his accident, recovery, and sneaking his bike out when the missus wasn't home. You've missed out.

Well that sucks. I got some handles from Perth in a day and they can't move some stinkin maps. Newcastle really must be at the end of the earth.

The scary thing is, I probably couldn't find Perth on a map. Well, maybe after a bit of looking.

It's in WA, right? ACT is considered a state, it's in the middle of NSW? And where's the Gold Coast, and Brisbane. NSW or QLD? Only pommies could have made such a mess out of only 7 states.

ACT is, more or less, the same as Washington D.C. ie it is not a state.

There are 6 states and 2 territories.

Have you ever considered looking at a map?

Sadly, when I worked at the AEC, I was one of the few that got 100% on the geography test. What's this "Map" thing you guys keep referring to?

Also 6 states are easier to remember than 50. Except for Tasmania.

Now, I know Tassy pretty well, because I've seen a few maps of Tassy in my day...

It's funny but a lot of Aussies, in my experience, do not know what this means.

I know exactly what it means. Funny how you can find your way around it just as easy without a map though.

I spent 10 days driving around Tasmania in 1999. Quite a nice spot.

I'm in Newcastle, we don't need rain. We need a footy team. We gave the world Miss Universe. As the goodwill ambassador of Australia, she should teach folks about Australian geography, starting with her map of Tassy. It's so wrong to say that, but I had to.

Would'nt mind look'n into her map ,as no two maps are the same.
Accually most of wa has had enough rain for a while, ads excitement when ridding in it on 5mm of rubber.
Are you on the queens b/day holiday?
The rain has stopped, gotta go

Mick Hannah's not on that list? His little sister was National DH champ too, or something like that. At 15, again at 16.
