Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The dispenser would last a full ten minutes here in Sydney.

Hi all,

As you may be aware, the Velodrome events of the Mens 1klm and Womens 500 m Time Trials are to be cut from the program at the Beijing Olympics.

Here is a link to a website collating an electronic petition to try to keep these events.

I would encourage everyone who can to sign this.

Bugger.

Brad got Points Classification. Small bonus I guess. Better than a Formula 1 race with only six cars in it!

Olympic team pursuit gold medallist Steve Wooldridge has had a serious crash in a tour race in France on Friday. The Australian was on a descent when he crashed and broke his jaw in five places. Wooldridge lost several teeth and was transferred from France to Cologne after seeking practical medical advice.

He will be undergoing a major surgery and will also require wiring of the jaw in a week's time. His wife Danielle is on her way to be with him as he will be laid up in hospital for some time.

How much time have you got? The short answer is - Drive in any direction out of Melbourne for an hour, park your car, go ride.

Welcome MSD...Lot's of Aussi's here. Don't get too offended by the rude one's, like...nah, you'll figure it out.

Re you're question, go to any good book store and buy the Bicycling Victoria's Melbourne Trails book and you'll find several thousand kilometres of trails.

Is the aussie team just trying to lull the Brits into a false sense of security for the Ashes or are they just not a very good one day side?

Given that the Aussi cricket team are highly trained athletes, this could not be possible...

so I got one of those nice "hippers" just on my backside from a wipeout Saturday. A nice apple sized graze shall we say. Just went to the loo, dropped me keks and OUCH !!!, my undies were nice and stuck to it. Seems as though it had dried up at work today. Are you having lunch about now? Just though I'd share.

Mate, I'd eat a sandwich in a morgue.

What you need is some non stick pads, tape, some Betadine and a good woman to say to you repeatedly......."You stupid idiot"
