Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

not necessarily. If you like it sure but some companies do sloping, some don't so it depends what bike you're looking at. I'd say go for overall fit and feel, not sloping vs. traditional.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Free shot was offered after all

But seriously, if you buy a properly fitted bike then construction method versus rider size is not a consideration. Either will work for you. The compact frame is design to be stiffer about the drivetrain (for roadies that means possibly faster acceleration), that's all.

I'm the same height as you and ride a normal geometry frame. Hasn't hurt me so far.

You could go and buy this stuff or just do what many medicos and tatooist do. Past plenty of Bepanthin (Baby rash cream) and cover with Glad Wrap. Heals up in a few days and the skin is as soft as...
