Negator....4th for big George.
Best non European was Steve Bauer in 1990...2nd to Eddy Planckaert by the width of a Vittoria Corsa CG Pave.

From his SMM-La Suisse days when he took out Claude Criquelion at the 88 worlds.....I've got those Ronse Worlds on video and Bauer only made the front group with a superhuman effort with about 1000m to the finish. Incredible.

Morning lads...Scratching my a*se on the tram this morning and had a question jump into my head..."when will Campy/Shimano build an 11 speed for rode bikes?" I know...It IS earth shattering. 
Any views when this will happen and how many gears we will be riding with in 5 years time?

Actually wattsy's dreamin might not be too cwazy. Imagine if those clever little Japanese fellas were able to rig a type of 'overdrive' INSIDE the cluster (ahh, remember the days when the dragster was king) that allowed you to split ratios.
Same 10 gear cluster externally, but direct drive and a 1:0.96 INTERNAL slip ratio. It's not impossible to imagine.
