yep...good value.

I started with that behemoth from Freo, Sandilands. Traded him after round 1.

scroz 04-19-05 05:48 PM

Yeah well I started with Lappin... look where that got me, no points worth mentioning and he has lost 55000 in value or something and now he went and injured himself again. Bring on Gilbee I say

ed073 04-19-05 05:53 PM

yep....had Nige too. Lappin out, Ben johnson from Collingwood in.

Adam McPhee aka Kevin Bacon is next. He's been crap. Down $15k.

scroz 04-19-05 05:55 PM

You must be doing well, my team sucks. I started with 1040 in rd.1 and was up to 1640this week though so things are on the up.. and that was with 2 non performers as well

Jess Sinclair and Archer were my saviours this week...

LMAO! Nice one fellas.

No idea where the tops are at. I'll have to call Cannonadale and see where my 666/13 is...oops, I mean ring the supplier and see where the tops are! Can't do it today coz I'm stuck here at Monash Uni doing this research paper. Can't say I'm in the mood.....

ed073 04-19-05 08:57 PM

It doesn't look like the bike of an AIS squad member....oh wait....that disappeared under the wheels of a crazed Hyundai Terracan.

Can you guys suggest me a good club to ride in the Caulfield, Glenhuntly or nearby area in Melbourne.
I'm 16 and ride a sora bike. 2-3 rides a week would be fine, or 1 ride a week. The main thing is a place where there are also people my age. I've only been in one group bike ride, and that was mainly only people that worked at a bike shop, rather than the public.

Brian 04-20-05 02:55 AM

Sorry, this thread is about footy. Please try later when we resume our normal programming.

scroz 04-20-05 03:12 AM

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm expat?

Brian 04-20-05 03:26 AM

Well, it appears I didn't miss much today. Fantasy Footy? And I thought FF in the states was stooopid. I played baseball for 3 years, and I think the best part was riding my bike to practice (And crackin' skulls when I pitched). I'd hate to look back on my life and think I wasted a lot of time watching sports on TV. Whoops! Fell off my soapbox.

you're 6'3" and you collect typewriters? Hmmmm...I see

Well, you're lucky. There's a club just near you: Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club

http://www.carnegiecycling.com.au/

They have a velodrome on Leila Rd, just near Packer Park

The only reason I do it is because I don't own a tv... makes me stay in touch with home a bit more too...

Excuses...

What's up with the tall kid collecting typewriters?

rockmuncher 04-20-05 08:29 AM

I tried collecting Spanish flies for a few years, but I kept using them in the vain hope that one of them might work...

scroz 04-20-05 09:13 AM

Bill Cosby would be so proud...

Just move to a foreign country. From what I hear, women love an accent...

When I read that I imagined that for women a foreign accent might instill romance, adventure, even risk. And then I tried to imagine an American accent providing all those things and all I got was "Jethuth Chritht" (Mr Slave, Southpark).

I don't think our accent helps Aussies out OS, what with that striking nasal ring and all. No, it has to be the good looks, cool manner, sharp wit, debonair lifestyle, and enormous beer-gut.

PaulBravey 04-20-05 05:01 PM

Scroz, they used to start showing aussie rules on sundays on bbc2 once the football season finished. That was a few years ago though so I may be a bit out of date and I wouldn't be surprised if Sky has bought the rights like everything else. You'll probably be able to find a pub in central london that's an aussie stronghold that'll be showing it. There's more foreigners in central london than english people so finding an aussie pub shouldn't be too hard either :)

scroz 04-20-05 05:54 PM

Yeah but I have done so well by staying out of those places... oh well looks like it could be time to swallow my pride for a bit of footy. Thanks for the tip.
