Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If Pcad posts those pics, they'll live on in BF Infamy.

Now you have to decide if I wrote that to encourage or discourage Pcad posting his Black Eyed Pcad pics.

In other news, the City of Knoxville is considering employing goats to control kudzu on public lands.

It's a rough week for Uncle Pcad.
When it rains it pours sometimes but hang in there, it eventually clears up. Riding hasn't been an issue for me but for the first time in quite a while I felt really overwhelmed with everything since we had plumbing issues to sort out at home, work was really tedious, the car started acting up, and I felt mentally exhausted. Sometimes I wish I could take a vacation from the responsibities in life but it's these moments where I remember to HTFU and sort it out.

At this rate I will have no teeth left by early 2014.

Then I can move to Tennessee.

Plumbing is my family trade (lifetime for bro and dad, plus a few years personally). What's your problem?

Couple of new o-rings and you're on your way.

Leaking down under the sink is it? Tired of the bucket? The Mrs. complaining?

I thought I had teeth problems ... was recently treated to a root canal. They had to drill through a bridge to get to the tooth. I'm screwed if the root canal doesn't work.

The third guy actually called my team director and admitted he caused the crash by bumping into pcad.

All I remember is a guy right in front of me on the ground all of a sudden, perpendicular and blocking my path, so I just rode into him (no time to brake or swerve). Never felt anybody bump into me, just saw the guy flat on the ground and I had nowhere to go but over him. I don't know how he fared, hope he was less injured than me or Dr. Bob regardless of whether he caused the crash. Shlit happens in cycling, nobody does stuff like that intentionally.

This should be a relief to Pcad. He's over on Facebook threatening to end his life.

First, I think that was a joke, second, we need to know who "he" is to know if we should care.

He's (Pcad, that is) in a funk because he can't ride until Sunday for "medical reasons." Continuing to think he caused the crash would not be a good thing. Too much to bear on top of not being able to ride.

The only thing keeping him going is his life long dream of hosting SNL.

Hey pCad, when you have no teeth, will you ride with your dentures in?

he will have to because gumming the bars is not as effective as chewing them when you get spit out the back on a climb.
