But how do you know he produces the "right" fit? The human body is amazing in its ability to adapt, so a not-so-good fit can go unnoticed quite easily. Plus human eyes, a tape measure and a plump bob cannot easily notice the intricate physiological intricacies of the human body.
I would not go to a low end LBS and have them fit me. I go to a very experienced, very capable individual that understands the human/ machine relationship. How do I know? 20+ years of pain free, injury free riding. I have had MRI's, CT scans and Bone scans for other issues and the Dr's have always commented on how little "typical" cycling related damage I have. I am a high mileage rider so poor fit would have reared it's head by now. |

really?
seems an awfully small thing to get so worked up about. |
I might be getting a BMC as my next bike, PCad better not get one.

If I responded in the manner that my NY upbringing really requires, they might ban me, so I will take one for the team on this.

He posted pictures of his bike on the forum, so he obviously cares about what we think of his bike (whether he likes to admit it or not). So I gave my two cents.
I can think of a lot of things that look worse. |

I'm not sure what else to do. I couldn't ride a 54 or 55, top tube is too short. I have a significant saddle to bar drop (see photo below on the 56 cm S2). I want a bike with racing geometry. The bikes FEEL great, handle great, fit great, etc. As to whether anyone approves on how this looks, you should consider the weight your opinion carries here, which is zero point zero zero. Try to bear this in mind.

By the way, the first of those D.A. wheels arrive and the bike is already 4oz. lighter. The other wheel should get here tomorrow or even later today. That bad boy will be just about 16 lbs even with clinchers. Lighteous is righteous. |

That's Limey Frederick to you.

You will know 6700 is excellent once it is appointed to HRH. Until then, it remains merely great. As a SRAM lover, I do really like my 6700.
