Computers work on ideals as well and fittings based on them require tweeking.

I would not go to a low end LBS and have them fit me. I go to a very experienced, very capable individual that understands the human/ machine relationship. How do I know? 20+ years of pain free, injury free riding. I have had MRI's, CT scans and Bone scans for other issues and the Dr's have always commented on how little "typical" cycling related damage I have. I am a high mileage rider so poor fit would have reared it's head by now.

seems an awfully small thing to get so worked up about.

He posted pictures of his bike on the forum, so he obviously cares about what we think of his bike (whether he likes to admit it or not). So I gave my two cents.

I might be getting a BMC as my next bike, PCad better not get one.

If I responded in the manner that my NY upbringing really requires, they might ban me, so I will take one for the team on this.

I can think of a lot of things that look worse.

The bikes FEEL great, handle great, fit great, etc. As to whether anyone approves on how this looks, you should consider the weight your opinion carries here, which is zero point zero zero. Try to bear this in mind.

Long legs, but not super long. 5'11", 33-34" inseam. But a 56cm frame with a 57-57.5cm effective top tube always fits me. 120mm stem.

Save your money for a custom bike that fits.

I'm telling you slothy, this Ultegra stuff really does rock. Which you might know if you actually rode a bicycle, you know, on the road, you know, in the real friggin world. You are incredibly annoying by the way. You show a lot of BF Promise.

By the way, the first of those D.A. wheels arrive and the bike is already 4oz. lighter. The other wheel should get here tomorrow or even later today. That bad boy will be just about 16 lbs even with clinchers. Lighteous is righteous.

How about explaining why you don't ride the Cervelo all the time?

That's Limey Frederick to you.

jdon 02-16-10 12:06 PM

You will know 6700 is excellent once it is appointed to HRH. Until then, it remains merely great. As a SRAM lover, I do really like my 6700.
