Thanks for the spoilers...ass.

STFU and watch the video kid.

I've never cared about knowing the results of a bike race. I enjoy watching it either way. Think different.

When I ride my bike the only dumb creature at peril is me.

The bull was just defending himself.

Nothing is quite as infantile as the amateur bicycle racer superiority complex that pervades the 33. It's the Dark Side of the Dumbest Sport.

coasting 05-23-10 03:18 PM

what happened? is it worth me taking a look?

i have to wash my hands after i click on 33.

talking about fredly, why are there so many cavendish wannabes on the road these days. I saw 5, you heard me right, 5 riders wearing this
kit today.

perhaps they like their HTC phones and are showing their brand support?

(Just ordered my first HTC phone)

Just got back from day 1 at the new job. Was fine, much like the old job, only I get paid more. And am seriously tempted by the Specialized Tricross with 105.

I wasn't upset with you, it was Racer Ex telling the other guy to buzz off like his bike race prowess gives him some kind of BF Asshat Free Pass.

Hey why not? I have one. The difference is I'm not nasty and condescending. Just sarcastic and annoying.

I'm not even upset with him. I expect nothing less. Or nothing more. Or you get what you get on BF. Moronic Freds, condescending asshat Road Nazis, and stupid threads about how we should all talk the newbie off the 'I'm going to give up cycling' ledge.

I say 'jump!'.

So, if you lose the ride data off of your Garmin POS, did the ride really happen?

Velo Vol 05-23-10 06:46 PM

I'm thinking about fattening myself with an ice cream sandwich.

Someone talk me off this ledge.

mzeffex 05-23-10 06:52 PM

It's waiting for you.

I can't help you; I've already jumped. Salmon on the grill followed by some great premium ice cream. Yum.

rjones28 05-23-10 07:36 PM

I burned off the ice cream by laughing at this http://twitter.com/****mydadsays You'll have to fill in the asterisks -- BF won't let you say the sh-- word.

Sure feels like I did a ride, but I have no proof. So, I can answer that with a definite.... My average speed was at least 15 mph...:)

They discussed that in the Velonews article, all the team mechanics were using those chain catcher things so there wouldn't be dropped chains. As long as it worked that was really their only big concern. I don't quite get how you could keep up with a pro bike race on any slope with a 34 x 29, but I suppose when it gets that steep, less is more.

coasting 05-24-10 06:25 AM

what chain catcher things. i'm really interested because i can't get a dog fang onto my seat tube at the right height for the chainring and i did recently have a chain drop incident and it scared the hell out of me. cracking a frame is not good.
