Uh?

U.S. stocks dived Tuesday, with major indexes taking their hardest hit in three months, amid intensifying trepidation that European moves to keep Greece's debt in check would run aground.

Depends who's analysis you believe. I think it was mostly fear of sovereign debt issues in Europe and partly jitters over a bomb in NYC.

i thought it was fear of greeks bearing gifts. ask troy.

Speaking of which, why doesn't Britain use Euros like everyone else over there?

coasting 05-04-10 02:54 PM

Because they're slightly less idiotic than the rest of the Euro pinheads.

Junk bonds are safer. Try California State Bonds. Or Tennessee Flood Insurance Bonds.

I just hide all my millions under my matress. The interest is amazing because i find alot of change on the roads when i ride, and other change under couch cushions. I have my bed wrapped in fire proof material, so if i have to, i can drag my savings bond out of my house in the case of a fire.

Hey Pcad,

Did you ride Bike New York? It looks fun.

coasting 05-04-10 04:34 PM

is it st patricks day ride? everyone is in green

coasting 05-04-10 04:36 PM

i did the london freewheel ride in the first year it was introduced in 2007. the weirdest feeling and quite scary. but great fun

Velo Vol 05-04-10 04:38 PM

Apparently it was last weekend.

I can just see Pcad triumphantly hoisting his bike over his head like the guy at 6:55 after he defeated the mega field of Freds.

Velo Vol 05-04-10 04:41 PM

That's almost as Fredly as the ride Knoxville has in December where most of the riders deck themselves out in Christmas decorations.

That's too Fredly even for Uncle Pcad.

patentcad 05-04-10 05:33 PM

When we ride through Central Park it's a little different. And the weather always sucks.

patentcad 05-04-10 05:38 PM

Oh man, I gotta do that ride. That does look like a blast.

Hs.

I got in a nice 28 miles training ride today. Short, but I had school, and work, and then it was dark. I got drafted again. I kinda get annoyed, but I guess if people want to stay behind me to go faster - that means I'm getting faster.

mzeffex 05-04-10 06:49 PM

Oh yeah Pcad - I saw a bunch of Cervelo riders today. Most weren't wearing helmets. Wtf number one.

The worst.. was helmet-less.. and although I was wearing headphones, I could hear his chain squeaking. A little oil goes so far.

I can just see Pcad organizing and directing a makeshift paceline and blowing by the riders cruising along with their kids. He'd probably be all decked out with his aerohelmet.

patentcad 05-04-10 07:56 PM

I would crush those Out of Towner Freds.
