Yes, but let me just double check with my mom that nothing is going on. Remember, you're going to need a uscf license or one day license.

I bought my 2010 license the first day I could in order to make myself join races. Now I have to justify it by doing 4 races or more.

Ok, well you've got that going for you. Now just get out and race. When I go to baltimore for school in the fall, we should meet up at some races.

Hey Pcad,
Coasting says our "special relationship" may be in jeopardy because Englanders are mad that we are saying mean things about BP. I say, "Who needs the UK?" What do you say? |
I must confess, for a moment right before I crashed on the Nyack Ride last month (and I recall this clearly) this thought flashed through my mind: 'Well, this will suck but at least the real suffering is over now'. We were just beginning the charge up the 3-5% upgrade to Pearl River, and I wasn't in such great shape, so it was gonna hurt pretty bad.
On the other hand, this evening Mrs. Pcad remarked that I was starting to look awful skinny. She never says that. You are all so totally effed. |
Business picked up this week. That helps.

BP's role / fail in Valdez Safety / operational fail Glad they are spending gobs of money to put Tony on TV tell us he's sorry and look like someone stole his puppy though. |
I did my slightly longer nazi ride tonight pcad, and I must warn you that while you may be 30-35 lbs less than me, I feel good about my chances on just about any ride with you. I am really feeling good this year. We will see how the state RR chamionship goes next weekend.
As far as mtbing in the mud. I always decide depending on how muddy it is (example: if it is actually pouring out I don't go). It was a bright and sunny day so the trails weren't that sloppy I really didn't expect them to be muddy at all when I got there). I have also heard there is a lot of research saying mtbs don't harm the trails nearly as much as originally thought (though this may be limited to dry trails, I know they are using these studies to try to get more trails open to bikes that were previously banned because of "trail wear"). as far as weight I am still 20 lbs away from hitting a "normal" BMI so there is still work to be done. As a side note I would need to lose close to 70 lbs to become underweight...could you imagine me 70lbs lighter? even assuming a worst case 25% bf that would require losing all my fat in my body then 20 lbs of something else. Pcad, My deck may not be quite as nice as yours, but I did it for under $650 so I at least count as very thirfty I will get a pic up soon for comparisions sake. |
pcad what is your sprint out of a paceline? I am getting deliciously close to 40 mph...maybe by the end of this year :)

That family trip to Greece in August will be a total clusterfark. Whatever. It's worth it once I'm climbing the Mt. Dirfus pass on my road bike at 9:30 in the morning on a perfect 90º Greek summer day, and I look down at the side of the road and it's not a squirrel looking back at me. It's a big ass Greek friggin lizard.
I like it there. It's like Spain, but with a bigger budget crisis and more Greeks. I'll try to get a picture of the lizard this year. |
Stupid Greeks.

I went to Greece last April - freaking loved it, beautiful country.
