Yeah, the responsible financial thing to do. My heart isn't into it. 30 years of the same f-ing thing. I'm tired. That, and there just isn't the loyalty there anymore. Today's businesses are run by bean counters, not people. So I work my ass off to satisfy the companies , they respond by going to the next guy that can do it cheaper. Never mind that they will get crap work from them and come running back. This is a new thing in just the last few years. Pride in my work drove me just as much as the money. Now the companies don't want good work, they want work done cheap. They tell me to cut corners. It sucks. Oh well, time to suck it up......

So I'm watching that link that Gomer posted for the live feed of the oil well. They get the pipe cut off. Now they are just showing the cap hanging in the water. PUT THE DAMNED THING ON ALREADY!!!!
But really, they were so concerned with gettting a clean cut so they could put a seal on that is like a hose washer. That is why they didn't use the shears to do it. The saw got stuck, so they ended up using the shears anyway. Why didn't they cut it higher and put a tapered seal that went over the outside? The cut wouldn't have mattered then.

I don't need to watch that stupid video to experience a massive blowout. I only need to toe the line at my next bicycle race.

According to a CNN report last night, some of those robots working on the well cost $2 million.

Hey pcad I was wondering if I should get the digital subscription of VeloNews. Is it worth the cash? 15 digital issues for 30$?

I'm getting leaner. Soon I will be back racing with my team. Or attempting to do so. I hope I can help them in those races. I'm getting my fitness back. This really has been the lost season. And I wasn't in bad shape at all in late March. Makes me wonder how things would have done without those dental detours, but let's see how it goes now.
TT Sunday. I'll ride the TT bike over there, the start is 25 miles from here, couple of decent hills. Good warm up in the little ring.
I may suck at this sport, but I do like the racing, when I'm fit enough to even participate.
