Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sounds like an itch you can't scratch.

Gomer can help you with that.

Tell me how your front wheels fits in the fork. I have a 90sl and the front hub fits in there very very tight.

crappy iPhone photo, but here it is. It's an eBay thing, so I'm not sure if it is new or old.

That's the new design. I have the old Easton EC90 SL (1") and it's the version with the "bear trap". Basically, you have to shell out for an expander plug or something that doesn't suck like the bear trap device.

It's not tight at all. A little loose if anything.

Hopefully this will hasten Apple's courting other vendors . . . like Verizon, for instance.

I'll be damned if I'm abandoning Verizon's virtually universal network to step down to AT&T's, even for the mighty iPhone.

I'm holding my ground!

my iPhone 3gs had been randomly giving me an accessory error message when nothing was plugged in. Took it into the Apple store and they replaced it under warranty (3 days before it ended), brought it home, put iOS4 on it. Now it's on ebay to pay for the iPhone 4 on release day.

That is similar to the one in my fork, oh well, maybee someday I will figure out why it split. Be careful with that.

But it is... square...

A guy from the Danish national cycling team came into my shop today! It was cool. At first I thought he was just a poser, then I saw the leg muscles, and then realized the team kit, and the accent, and the everything..

He was getting fitted. Wtf? Aren't teams supposed to do that for you? He is here for the Air Force Cycling Classic, which I will go to watch this weekend. It's only a few miles form my house - plan to get a buncha photos and potentially sign up for a race. Not sure if there are any 5 races or not though.

Maybe he is renting/borrowing a bike over here and just wanted a quick fit? They're paid to ride bikes, not work on them...

That's awesome though. Was he small? That's the first thing everyone always says about pro cyclists - how small they are.

No, he was probably close to 6 feet with cleats on. Taller than me and I'm 5 9 anyway. I bet it was his bike, this is a big race and I doubt they would give him a random bike. Whatever though. It was 75 degrees, he had on a rain vest, shoe covers, tights, and a long sleeve jersey.

Maybe he had been riding since early in the morning? And maybe he had to disassemble the bike to bring it over.

I dunno man, stop trying to make me look dumb

Either way, I was kinda star struck. So then as I left I dialed it up to 400w and dropped him of course.
