You know, it's possible I was going so fast that I entered a time warp 100 meters before the finish line and wound up 60 seconds in the future. That has to be it.

All that being said, I felt pretty good on the TT bike today, and it felt like a fast ride for me. Pathetic as that may be.

Riding the TT bike reminds me of how I feel about golf.

Largely I suck at it and it's painful to play, but on the occasion when it's going right the satisfaction is significant. Fortunately, I've managed not to become stupidly addicted to golf.. not so much with riding the TT bike I'm afraid.

I assume this is for me since Pcad weighs about 80 lbs.

I'm not quite sure how to take that. Yes, I'm a rather significant mass for a cyclist but did you really need to call me fatty?

How about I continue sucking to the degree I suck and you continue sucking as much as you like and leave it at that.

From the mouths of Freds, BF Veritas.

I think BikeForums has made an error with my post count at a 10,000 post increment.

BF Veritas never lasts very long.

Yo razor, we got some of those Trek Speed Concept 9 bikes in the shop. Can you say pain in the ass to build? They're really nice though, sleek and light.

patentcad 06-06-10 06:48 PM

I figure the slowest Road Nazi is faster than 95% of the Freds out there anyway.

That being said it always is that 20th Fred that friggin kills you.

Yes. I was riding at Hain's point.

Always freaks me out to see people down there doing laps on a weekend. I only ride there weeknights to avoid all the commuter traffic, but on weekends there are so many open roads elsewhere.

patentcad 06-06-10 06:50 PM

18 posts to go. But why bother?

Help me here, what's my motivation in this scene? Why squirrel hate me?

No, It was actually for pcad, its called sarcasm. you slipped under the wire when I posted it originally and I thought you would understand that it was meant for pcad, I see now that I should have quoted him first. And remember we are all to fat for this sport.

You shouldn't talk about Razor that way.... :innocent:

I did my first stage race this weekend. It was awesome
Stage 1 TT: awful
Stage 2 Circuit Race: Calf cramp w/ 2 to go. Finished with a small chase group ~4min down. Forgot junior roll out - 15s penalty.
Stage 3 91mi RR: Awesome race, lots of rain, finished 14th. Forgot roll out again.

Now, now, I wasn't. But I could be persuaded.

What do you mean? Do you have to show that your gears are restricted?

Yea. They basically roll our bike backwards in the large chainring and small cog and make sure the crank doesn't go more than 1 revolution in a certain distance.

Junior gears are stupid. I'm 18 - I can buy lottery tickets + cigarettes, get into strip clubs, vote in elections and go into the military, but I can't run a bigger gear than 52*14 :wtf:

But I guess the rules are the rules, and I'm a dumbass for missing it....twice.

mzeffex 06-06-10 08:13 PM

Is it that you didn't show them that you were no more than 26 feet or you actually weren't within the range?
