I wouldn't go tonight.
It sounds like the worst part of the storm is going to happen tonight. We have seen estimates of 20" by tomorrow. |

That's in Bum*** (my location) and Outer Upper Bum*** (your location). It's supposed to turn back to rain in the city this afternoon before it resumes as snow after 5-6PM. That should make the drive down much more icy. NYC is supposed to get 6-10", more like 20" here on Mt. Doom (50 miles NW of Manhattan).
fixed. |
Snow pansies!!
|
news flash toronto: you are on the wrong side to receive lake effect snow.
|
It's already turning to rain in Ramsey, NJ, and that's 20 miles NW of NYC.
Not here. About 7-8" already. This is the Big One. http://www.insidesocal.com/tv/027669_27.jpg |
Trainers do suck by the way. You can't put lipstick on a pig. 60 minutes on mine today.
How the F some of these Road Nazis do 2 x 20's on those stupid things I'll never understand. |

uhhh, no it's not. Is there anything you actually know anything about?

We have a foot of new snow on top of the 12"+ of old snow. My guess is we get 2' out of this storm no problem. That's as buried as Mt. Doom has ever been.
Mrs. Pcad is driving up here from NJ, halfway home, roads are reasonably clear, just the local roads are a mess. I just drove out of my UNPLOWED driveway (again a foot of new snow), up a slight grade, no problem. That RDX goes through anything as long as its limited ground clearance doesn't become an issue, but it handles 12" of snow OK. Our road was plowed earlier (but now there's a few more inches of fresh snow on it). Heavy, wet snow and a ton of it. Wow. We're leaving for MSG in an hour. I'm bringing the shovel. |
Good luck, in Queens it is getting colder 33.9 and the snow is starting to stick.
It is coming down as big heavy flakes. |
It's thick and sloppy down here - enjoy the ride.

That said, the low affecting NY is going to dump 15-20 cm on the GTA tonight, some will be lake effect but that will be closer to Hamilton. |
I was so looking forward to a clean commute to work next week so I hope this stuff melts quickly otherwise back on the trainer for me.
|
It really is like Snowmageddon up here. Unbelievable. By the time this winds down we'll have 2-3', upper elevations of the Catskills will have 4-5'. That's FEET, not inches kiddies.
MSG here we come. |
Sucks for you, and have fun at your concert.
The expected snow last night never came. |
temp is up to 34.3 in Queens so NYC should see no real snow for quite a while
|
Thin layer in Central NJ, 28 miles due west of Manhattan. Roads 100% clear.
|
Sucks for all you east coaters. Its 65 and sunny here :p
|
Why is this thread still on page one?
|
You just helped it.
|
Low 30s in K-Town this evening. Velo Vol rode anyway. No wussy excuses here.
