Just got back from the neurologist. They think I may have a hole in my heart.
Fantastic. |
I need a vacation.

Very sorry to hear that. Also wondering how the neurologist (isn't that a brain doc?) diagnosed a heart condition. What specific condition were you diagnosed with, and what is the next course of action?

Either way, it's not a huge deal. Most likely they won't have to fix it (if there is one, have to go back to find out for sure in a month ish) if the hole is small enough, and if they do have to fix it, it's not open heart surgery or anything. They stick a catheter in your hip (???) and go to your heart and open an umbrella thing. Not painful apparently and without anesthetic. Either way it is kinda scary. I hate medical stuff. At least it's not life threatening or with any impact on life other than head aches anyway.

yuck, sorry to hear that. Must be some sort of high speed by-pass given how well you went in your first crit.

This week I've told 3 different people that their rear brake was open, and all three had it on purpose for varying reasons. Is this some kind of new cycling fad I'm missing out on?

Thanks. Migraines (that hospital visit last month in particular) can be linked to it.. meaning the brain is not getting blood that has as much oxygen as it likes. Then it gets angry or something and gives you head aches.

The fact that you were born with neither a sense of humor or a grip on reality also speaks for itself. Thankfully you have amateur master's bicycle racing. For what it's worth.

He's much more cheerful during the Holidays.

Wait, to be fair, he was hurting at that point. Here is the friendly one. Also, let it be known that this was on a holiday, the 4th of July weekend.

What a shame. sorry to read of your potential problem. try not to worry until they know for sure and take it easy until then. don't push it. there's plenty of time to push it after they fix whatever there is to fix and that hip thing...don't worry about that. |
Why does someone have pictures of gsteinb on file to post in this stupid thread? Weird.

Also, now that pCad has prohibited me from stalking him, I had to look for someone new. Being that pCad sponsors gsteinb's team, this was a natural choice. |

Sucks for you guys.
Regardless, everybody beneath the UCI level sucks at cycling, it's only a matter of degree. |

I don't party, but for that matter neither those pcad. I suppose not sucking at something the consumes all your lives makes me overly serious. Mostly I'm just retired and have time to ride, and am not a fat slob. Sucks for you guys.
