This implies that many participants here aren't already fat.

Incorrect.

I don't think I'm fat, but Descente thinks I'm fat. I got a medium jersey and it's too tight, so I got a large and it's too long.

wait till he gets out the saw!

I'd only get worried if he gets a long string out and ties it to a near by door knob...

So what else is new?

I posted this in another thread, but I'm so appalled I had to share it here too. Where do these wonderful LBSs exist? Miami certainly isn't the place.

I just got off the phone with my best friend who I sent to the LBS today. He bought a bike, pedals, shoes, helmet, bottles, cages, shorts and jersey. They gave him a slight discount on the bike because it was last years model, everything else MSRP. They offered to fit him on the bike, but only on the platform pedals because he'd have to pay more to have the clipless ones installed, and if he wanted the cleats installed, that would also be more. So basically they'll fit him to the bike but once he installs the pedals at home, the saddle height will be wrong. If the new bike would need a different length of stem, he would also need to purchase it and pay to have it installed even though they told him the bike included a fitting. I told him to return everything and find another shop, they've lost my business as well.

When I bought my pedals and shoes at another LBS, they offered to install them for me, but I declined. They also sold me a pair of Sidi Genius 5s for $130.

oh yea, they're also the local Cervelo dealer. Screw them.

Sheesh, how much does it cost to have pedals "installed"?
