Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: Velo Volmobile

The big news is that while at the shop I also weighed myself.

Most people would think it impossible, but I actually lost 0.5 pounds since last month.

Yes, it's true. Rue your woeful existence.

it's a roadie elitist thing...you'll figure it out when you get on the S2....soon you'll be scoffing at your old pedals when you are clipping into some speedplay's or Look Carbon blades.

Yeah guys, what's wrong with them. Remember that you are dealing with a very sensitive young lady here that doesn't have her bike to hug and likes those pedals....

Has anyone ever taken apart STIs enough to clean and lubricate? Is it possible?
that sounds like asking for trouble. it looks so complicated in there.

Correct. Or you could stop wasting time and keep the SPDs on your old bike and upgrade now.

You don't need spin class anymore.

I like my speedplays. I wish they would come out with a 3 hole mount though.

I bet. Though opening it up enough to squirt lubricant where needed seems like as modest a mission as possible.

Oh, now any female reading that will be asking. What, are you suggesting that I did need spin class before?

Too late. I have (in the past). Yesterday I tried a lubricant spray from the outside which had little effect.

I prefer the Speedplays, but Look will work just fine. One of the two. If you go with the Speedplays, I'd suggest the Zero. You don't strike me as a full float kind of gal.

Use the search function for hours of mindless debate.
