We're going to visit NYU today with Pcadette. That's me and her in the picture below.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...tte96small.jpg I'll be riding 50+ miles down to Fort Lee where they'll pick me up. I'm riding the same bicycle you see in that picture. Pcadette grew up. Me, not so much. |

The "I'm about to crush him on this ride" expression is perfect. |
What year in HS is pcadette?

Pcad, this is karma. |

Off to performance in a few to pick up my 6700 rd. For those of you who are looking for one, it's on sale + 10% off so it ends up being less than wholesale, by $15 almost.

pCad, what is the bike in that photo, and what have you done to it since? You got a recent photo of your bench with that blocking it?

My sister-in-law fancied herself an architecture-type so off she went to NYU for grad school. After two years, she dropped out and now owes one bajillion dollars in student loans. |
How many zeros are in a bajillion?

I test rode Cervelos for almost 4 hours yesterday. It was exhausting, but well worth the time and effort.
I rode: S2 with Ultegra, S3 with DA twice (web managers bike with SRM, which was cool), S3 with Red, and a R3-SL with Di2. Tried Zipp 303s, 404s, DA carbon tubies, and some new DT tubies on the web manager's bike. Di2 was buttery smooth, but I'll happily pay half and ride Record. SRAM is junk, although one of the SRAM designers was there and tried to convince me otherwise. He said it takes "a lot of getting used to," which is the nice way of saying it sucks. The new Shimano hoods are a vast improvement. And the R3-SL is a stiff, yet plush ride. |

All the Cervelo bikes are lighter for 2011, says the rep. There R3s appear to be replaced by a R5, which will have some proprietary BB and come with Rotor cranks. S series remains the same. S1 is done.
"Flashier" color schemes on tap, whatever that means. |
For you bike part smart people. How does one know what cranksets are interchangeable? I have Specialized roubaix that has a FSA Gossamer Megaexo compact crank with Shimano 105. It uses the FSA BB-6000 bottom bracket. How does one know which cranksets can be used?
I realize that the BB has to match the crankset, not the other way around. |
From today's ride. I love North Florida...

That sign should say notice, not caution.
If they want to use caution, then it should say felt, not heard. |

Hey Pcad, If Mrs. Pcad and Pcadette come down to UT for a tour, and you ride down to meet them, I'll set up a roadside rest stop outside K-Town to boost your energy and your morale. You'll need it as the demanding Tennessee terrain will crush your spirits. I'll provide a Dominoes pizza to re-fatten you after the long trek. |

why does that sign not have any bullet holes in it? |

I wonder how many people stop at that stop sign ahead when they hear shooting? |
Hey coasting,
Are you doing another century tonight? I need to get another blinky (someone stole the one I had). What kind keeps cars away? |
