Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

on the topic of lady saddles for Jen. My wife had one very similar to you and hated it. It didn't feel bad but literally got her "hot and bothered" i suppose due to the width. I let her try some of my saddles and she eventually ended up liking a mens racing mtb saddle. They offer alot of upside because they are a bit more padded and a bit more wide than a true road saddle, but not to the extent of a womens saddle. Frankly they look better, so if they feel better it may be a good middle ground.

Also don't be afraid to try the mens saddles that come in different widths. They do it to fit a variety of people and you may be one.

Double also it looks like it says Ldy not lady, but the word in that section of my saddles rapidly come off. So I doubt it will be an issue for long. (this is assuming you have sweaty thunder thighs like me rubbing the seat somewhat

EWR is Newark NJ VV, most major flights leave there and it is easier than getting to the NY airports. Most travel sites actually have Newark NY which is wrong but they are close.

Now back to me...I switched from my mon wed group/training ride schedule to a harder Tue Wed Thur plan with Tue being a hard group ride Wed have a breakaway(hard or Chase med or easy option) and thur being a training crit

I withstood the 3 days in a row fairly well here they are

https://connect.garmin.com/activity/43304886 (long warm up)
https://connect.garmin.com/activity/43304878 (I enabled the auto lap thingy here)

It worked out very well and I hope it preps me for 3 crits I have later this month.

PS coasting made some snide comment a few weeks back about us being similar sizes (fat) and me claiming to be faster, well Mr. limey try to match my awesome average speeds I have been achieving

I really like the addition of Crash and kinda like topgear too.

We do need a detailed account of how each bike met its untimely death.

this thread is really fast, almost like it is going downhill.

just so you know, for the time being i am focusing on areas of cycling that does not involve speed or climbing. smelling flowers and donut eating.

Topless riding? Now that should get some attention.

I can see why you don't find beanz behavior all too offensive. There was a twenty something page thread that was pinned for a while on keeping the misogyny down, but as a lady pointed out in the base layer thread the reminders why women need their own forum are pretty frequent. Yep...alpha male...garrrr

Wow G, first, I' honored to be of such interest to you. Second, There was no hatred there at all, it was a play on what she said. Third, Jen plays along just fine.

Well, since about every third post you make is just another play on your jets v. sharks 33 vs 41 gang war I'm just passing along in kind.

I don't know it's your gig. I don't have the concern for 33 v.s. 41 you repeatedly bestow on myself and others who post in the racing forum.
