That limited edition color on eBay looks awesome. It's not that outrageous with free shipping if you like the colors. It's my size, wish I hadn't bought 2 bikes in the last 60 days...

Killer find. And with shoes and speedplays! ENJOY! :thumb:
I'm sitting on the couch in front of CAAD5 (w/5700), CAAD7 and CF 06' Fuji Team (6600). Somenone has to go. Leaning towards get rid of Fuji Team and make CAAD7 SRAM Force. :) how about that/ :) |

Very nice pick up. Considering the shoes and pedals cost about half of what you paid the bike was a steal.

Washed my CAAD10 after a couple of pretty muddy/slushy commutes to work. Pretty much stock 105 except for the Ultegra pedals. I hadn't posted any pics of it since I had first purchased it last summer.

what comps other than the DA RD are currently on the CAAD7? I have a 2005 CAAD7 with 105/Ultegra. Mine is the Burnt orange color and I love it. Do you plan to keep the Mavics?
I spend all morning trying to decide what to do... I did not find any significant difference between CAAD5 and CAAD7 in geometry or weight. (moved back and fourth wheelsets, pedals etc.) So there is not much sense to keep 2 bike with the color the only difference. CF Fuji rides is not the same ride and it is lighter. I will keep what I had... Yes, I will keep the Mavics. I went to LBS with them to loose the bearings and mechanics told me they do not have any miles on them. I will keep shoes, mavics, brand new Selle Italia Flite gel Flow :) Will put set of almost new Aksiums I have and and will sell it. (but still very hard to do - This is so **ing new bike.. Maybe i do not need that SS Langster i have?) :) |

This is Heidi, my 2004 CADD Optimo 1. Bought new in '04 and had done a few upgrades. ITM 101 bar, stem and handlebar. 2007 HED Jet 50 clinchers. DA cranks, FD, cassette and chain. Ultegra 6500 RD, shifters and brakes with kool-stop salmon pads. Gore cables. Tacx Tao cages and Selle Flite classic saddle. Edge 500 computer. A joy to ride. ;) Will pull another one from the stable soon. Cheers, Rick in Tennessee |
Hey guys, do me a favor and keep an eye out for a CAAD Optimo Track frame in 56/58. I need a new track frame, and they seem sharp.

Thanks, but I'm looking for one whom the owner doesn't think it's a collectors item.

It is time for cannondale to take the Caad to the next level and have at least make the top half in carbon or something.
|
Carbon fiber within the main frame of the CAAD?

Nah, I don't think it time for a carbon caad. You can keep your super sixes. |

Thats what you chose to be your first post? Lol |
Just to close the loop on a question posed a few pages back in case any other CAAD owners run into this issue. Look at my last post (post #16) for the answer.

Picked up a 2012 CAAD 8 6 today for my first road bike. Got a really good deal on it from my local bike shop. I love it! I did 16 miles today (fairly out of shape right now) and can't wait until I can pick up some clipless pedals, shoes, bottle cages, etc. at the end of the month.

Just because of evolution, the bike is too god to continue being where it is IMO, only because of that.
