Wow.

I don't think a bike can look much better. The slammed stem would certainly look even better. Great work.

Nagrom_ 01-17-13 07:34 PM

Thanks. It will probably get cut within a month, after I get the fit dialed in. I sized up from my track bike (which has mad drop), so I shouldn't have any issue slamming this comfortably.

Yeah, its an X2, 17/110.

And thank you. Ugh, now I'm rethinking my stem "upgrade". I had settled on getting a Deda superleggero (when they're finally available), but now seeing the -17 deg. I really like it on the CAAD...decisions, decisions.

Yeah, the frame is a 2012 I picked up for stupid cheap. Built with 2013 SRAM Force.

Was this the one I was watching on ebay?

I planned a similar build (but record and a setback thomson) but then I stumbled on a colnago that I couldn't pass up.

Im going with one as well, except I'll probably flip it up for +17 - I'm old and fat :(

Might have been, he listed three, in different color schemes, and they sold rather quickly.

Does anyone know (or can tell by the pics) which Sram group set this is?

I don't know **** about SRAM, but if I had to guess, I'd say Apex.

Nagrom_ 01-17-13 11:21 PM

Yeah, that's apex, and that's also a ludicrous price.

jtwilson 01-18-13 12:13 AM

Nagrom,

Sweet bike! Sounds like planet x brakes must behave a lot like the new Red Aerolink brakes - housing length has to be perfect for the brakes to stay centered. Total PITA to set up.

Also, that Incycle edition CAAD is beautiful. But 1,900 for the build is bogussss

nice bike, but at least $500 overpriced. If it had Red, maybe.... With Apex, no way.

BoomMcNasty 01-18-13 05:27 AM

Ok, thanks everyone. I love that frame, could care less for everything else. I don't know Sram too well either.

Apex falls between Tiagra/105. It's a group set normally found on $1200 Aluminum bikes or the bottom group set offered on carbon bikes. Those wheels are a bit better than the stock wheels on a CAAD 10, but not $700 better, and the rest of the equipment is mostly stock Cannondale. You can pick up a 2012 leftover CAAD10-5 for under $1300 right now - not in that color, of course.

I guess mark up is for the color scheme. Also i think the RD is rival and rest is apex, not that justifies the price in anyway.

Anyone here need a new bag of Red veloplugs? Turns out I got the red and needed the yellow. ($10)

justfitme 01-18-13 07:35 PM

Hi,
I was not able to keep myself from bying this thing from "Play it again" store.
Absolutely beautiful like never ridden condition, CAAD7, Ksyrium SL, DA rear d. etc..
was not able to find a single scratch or ding yet...

But wait .. brand new SIDI shoes (my size!) and Speedplay pedals came with it.

And all for $700..

I do know about you, but I was not able to hold my credit card in my valet.

It's 56.

This store is one block away from the beach. Lots of wealthy folks... they bring goody goodies.. not every month of course.

cycledogg 01-18-13 09:06 PM

Killer find. And with shoes and speedplays! ENJOY! :thumb:
