thats a bummer.

but ebay has saved me 300 bucks time and time again...

ChuBikes 02-04-13 12:07 AM

Would you get these from eBay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Williams-Sys...item337f8f666b

If so why? or why not. I'm looking for wheels!!

jtwilson 02-04-13 12:46 AM

There is already 7 bids on those wheels with a day left to go. I don't think they are worth fighting for. A 1550g wheelset isn't anything special. Keep shopping.

ChuBikes 02-04-13 01:03 AM

How about these Boyds? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Boyd-50-Whee...item3f21940c12

Nagrom_ 02-04-13 01:07 AM

Brand new ones were just going for 880.

Yup, Boyd still has 38mm carbon clinchers on 2012 closeout for $860, only 24/28 spoke count left but even with extra spokes they come in at 1426g

If they are so strong, why only 215 weight limit? Interesting cassette.

That's funny. I have never noticed the "10" before you mentioned your fixation with it. To my eyes it just looked like a graphic. Now watch, that's ALL that I'll see.

eBay. Search "digital luggage scale" and take your pick.

Great input! I like all your reasons behind it.

How can you not have noticed it is the true mystery, Yes it's a graphic and a huge one to say the least. Well I decided with a 2012 frame with 2013 CAAD 2 components that suits my liking.

Check out Soul S3.0, they have a new shape and are 23mm wide, similar to the Boyd Vitesse, but only $530 shipped.

OK, my photo shop skills are crappy at best.
I was curious to see what it would look like without the BIG 10 on the top tube.

I used to work for a neon sign supply warehouse that also supplied vinyl. I think if you got thin enough vinyl and the color matched, you could cover the 10 and make it virtually invisible without voiding the warranty. Color matched and have it cut to fit the tube, it would maybe cost $15.

So amazing to look at, by far one of my favorite paint schemes! Weight?
Also maybe level out your saddle and bars, I know personal comfort is key, but imo I think you will find a level saddle and bar to be a lot more comfortable esp in the long miles.
