I can't believe all these people are complaining about the stiffness of the caad frames. That is part of why I love my caad. I live in a fairly hilly area and the stiffness of my caad 3 is a benefit when im cranking up a hill. The road vibration and feedback dose not bother me at all. Also one the guys that I ride with has a caad 9 and I dont think that they are as harsh but not enough of a improvement that I would need to buy one to replace my '97, although they are a blast to ride and would buy one if I found a good deal. Possibly ill find one of these guys that are to picky to ride a caad and buy one off them for cheap.

I tried to post a pic but BF wont let me upload a pic from my phone for some reason.

The weather is getting cooler here, time to look forward to the fall riding. I did a nice ride along the Maumee River in NW Ohio yesterday but the only pic I took was this one after the ride...

Thanks. I bought a 2013 but after a frame warranty over the winter all they could get me was a 2012 if I wanted to stay with the team colors (which I did). The 2012 has a little less green but fewer logos and a cleaner top tube look which I like quite a bit.

The only changes from stock are the Fizik Arione saddle, matching bar tape, and blue Conti GP 4000 tires. I'd like to upgrade wheels to somethings like Boyd Altamont or Dura Ace C24/C35, but I'm not sure it would be money wisely spent as the engine is what really needs the work. :)

Besides, I'm only about 140lbs and I'm not sure I could handle aero wheels in some of the winds here.
:)

Why are they still persisting with that Prologo ass-hatchet? Did somebody in the Dale OEM department lose a bet?

I actually didn't mind mine too much and rode with it for almost two years before swapping out for the Fizik Arione (which was a good upgrade for me).

it actually would be (and was) an ok saddle for me until recently. I developed a problem down in my boys that requires a cutout for comfort and the prologo just doesn't cut it.

I ride a Selle Italia SLS Kit Carbonio Flow which is slightly lighter and worlds more comfy

The frustrating thing is the cutout in the plastic underneath that's a not to that particular problem, but then the fill-in that totally negates all the good. I picked up a Jamis take-off (with cutout) out of the LBS parts bin for $20 and it's been perfect.

I'm trying out one of these; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
1 ride so far that got better as it went, initial thoughts aren't great, but for $12, you literally can't go wrong. It's still better than the Prologo by a factor of comfy chair vs iron maiden.

Hi all,

First post here, so sorry if this has been covered in the annals of Caad Cult history.

I've had a bit of a saga putting my Caad10 Di2 build together, specifically with the bottom bracket. Seeming as I opted for Ultegra 6870 I had to get a Praxis bottom bracket converter which arrived last week. The problem is, once I'd run all of the internal cabling and joined it at the bottom bracket, I noticed that the cabling obstructs the bottom bracket shell.

Problem is the praxis runs flush into the bb shell, meaning it would hit the wires on the way in. Left it at the LBS and he's calling C-Dale today to see if there's a workaround. Anybody have experience with this particular issue?

Thanks in advance :D

The Praxis conversion BB has holes to run internal cabling through.

The sleeve is used for PF30 frames (EVO, Super 6). You won't be needing if for the CAAD 10 which uses BB30.

Welcome to the world of CAAD. I'm sure that you'll love the 10 as much as we do.

But have to ask, what's with the mis-matched bottle cages? :) And needs new pedals too.

Sweet bike....I personally think that the CAAD bikes are the best performance bang for your buck in the bike world today....one of the things I did that immediately improved the performance of my CAAD was stripping the Luganos off, putting 25mms on (Continental Ultra Race ---my fav tire out there---another huge bang for your buck) and running them at 100 psi. Plush and fast!

Thanks man, I thought as much! Just looking at the size of those holes made me shudder, as I know how hard it was to thread the internal cables through without having to worry about something obstructing the BB shell. Guy at the shop seems like he knows what he's doing so I'm hoping he'll nail it.

Dumb question, wouldn't threading the cables through mean that they rub on the spindle?

Yes, they might rub on the spindle if not secured properly.

Since it's Di2, the electrical cable is soft enough to make tighter bends (AWG20 I think) without any problems.

My CAAD 10 105, bought it this year. Unfortunately its too big for me, and I had to sell it. Was a 63cm, now riding a 58cm Cervelo R3. Would have loved to keep the bike though, it was an amazing ride
