Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kind of an interesting build with a CAAD10 4 frame but with the 5's 105 group. I prefer the color scheme over the 5.

Stem will be flipped when I can get torx wrenches
What was the deal? Mind letting me know? I'm also looking for a similar bike.

Ah sorry, it was a private party sale at an incredible price.

Sorry for asking, I didn't know it was so secretive, haha. I was just looking for the bikes that year and wanted some gauge on what a great deal would be.

bicyclebluebook gives a good idea. Mine was much less than the good condition price on bicyclebluebook, not even taking account the wheels and upgrades

haha indeed, not sure why it's top secret what someone paid for their bike but to each their own. Brand new 2014 were selling for $1175 at LBS end of season a few months ago, blue book on the 2013 is about $950 so smokin deal would be like $700 I'm guessing? Anything cheaper is probably stolen. In all seriousness, $900 or less is probably a fair deal for a 2013 with 105 at this point.

Bikes: Caad 10 sram red. Focus Mares. Giant Defy Advanced

I love Sram and Caad 10s so I had to get this n2015 force build.
The FSA energy wheels are better than expected. The colours are insane! The crank is great. Not sure about the 90mm stem on a 56.
I usually ride 53/39 11-25 so the 52/36 11-28 will take some getting used to.
My last Caad 10 was a 58 and this seems better.
25mm tyres are nice.
7.35kg or 16.17 pounds out of the box. A sub 7kg build seems easy. I have some nice carbons that should take 300 grams off.

First ride is tomorrow morning in the wet Debyshire dales. I can't wait.

Thanks! I really like how the green pops, and that every paint chip I get on the black is going to reveal more green lol.

54cm CAAD10-3 from 2011 frame I picked up at a swap meet for next to nothing.

Here I am looking at more things I am not going to buy lol

Brand New 2015 Cannondale Synapse 105 5 Disc C 56 Cm | eBay

Anyone riding a newer alloy synapse? I have always wanted to test ride the resigned. My old synapse was a joy but felt like I was riding a bus. I am liking the blood red on Cannondales

One things that discs do is allow wider tire clearance. Someone posed on RBR a pic of a synapse carbon w/a 32 cyclocross tire.

And yes, discs are growing on me...lol.

Berzerker Green 2011 colourway is still my favourite, although I quite like the colours on warrior4life's new rig.

cheers

Yes, the green is one of my top as well.

And as talked about before, Cannondale and Garmin have united. Maybe they will bring back the electric blue

I am willing to bet the the new caad10, when ever they come out with it and what ever number it will be, will have a sloping TT like the synapse carbons. Less material will mean a frame that weighs even less

FSA crank is still junk! My beloved less than two month old 2015 Caad 10 3 spent the night at the shop last night getting new crank bearings. But the guys also said it was the worst one they've ever had so I've got that going for me. New one was as smooth as butta on my short and freezing cold test ride. Looking forward to warmer days once again!

Original crank, 588 miles in.
