Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am Fred. That's my name. I ride a bike.

All I hear is Fred-this, Fred-that, what a Fred.

Anyone else named Fred out there who knows what I mean?

I am Fred, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again . . .

Just because your name is Fred does not mean the Fred is strong in you, my young Fred.

I don't care about power-taps
Or glasses under(over?) helmet straps
Intervals sound like a bore,
I ride for fun, and don't keep score.

You say that suffering's what it's about.
Me, I just like to get out
and feel the sunshine
see the sights.
Cycling makes me feel alright.
