Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh! Whilst riding today I happened upon a small-framed female, decked out in an ironman jersey, furiously spinning away on what must have been one of her TT bike's smallest gears.

It was the first hill on the course. I almost LOL'ed.

Any resemblance between this description and any real persons on this forum, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Was planning on riding this morning but my legs went on strike. I'm taking the day off and spending some time with my mommy. Back on the bike tomorrow.

I don't think any of the LBS' here even have a fit bike. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen one and I can't recall.

Hey coasting,

I want to climb a mountain. Will you coach me through it? I bet you have a treasure trove of expertise from which to draw from.

Velveeta is a buck a pound more than medium cheddar from Tillamook or Bandon.

Strange but true.

I would pay to watch a three-mile hill climb race between, Makel, Velo Gator, and coasting.

Road and MTB options. Road starts out easy and then kills you whereas the MTB starts out steeper and almost plateaus at the top.

Road course here:

I pray that one day, eventually, the majority of Americans will be able to appreciate the difference between real food and . . . garbage. Slowly but surely we are heading in that direction now. Needless to say, we have a ways to go.
