Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Have you ever felt unappreciated?

During the century ride I took a photo specifically for coasting, at some peril to myself. He didn't even bother to notice.

Garmin data

10;04 moving average...should have sprinted up that last hill (which, though little, really took it out of people's legs, we passed quite a few who walked it.

I took one photo of something you said you've never seen before.

No way I would agree to be a running dish . . . or ride 230 miles starting at 4 a.m. You people need help.

Heckler, you two ran for 13 miles carrying eating utensils.

Perception has a lot to do with what's nuts or not.

Me neither. But the photo I took specifically for you was the one of the recumbent rider, because you said you've never seen one on the roads before.

A guy I went to college with just posted this as his Facebook profile picture.

Had a nice ride today with a couple of buddies. The route was only 33 miles but has a great two mile dirt road climb in it.

I've seen riders doing a much more grueling climb than that. They've got more patience to sit and spin painfully slow than I ever will.

Finally posted results for the sprint. My time was 1.28:21. About 20 minutes faster than I thought I was, that's always nice
