Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice ride today. Only 37 miles but my legs were still hurting from yesterday.

Nice job man. I'm using your rides as a baseline goal to achieve.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Did you see yesterday's ride? That one was painful.

So, you have plenty time to locate these wheels. Be sure to let us know what you find out.

The TOC has a tic. It may just be a shiver. No racing today.

Bikes: Have two wheels

I thought it was just a delay and a shortened course.

No personal interest in owning a piece of a me-too trend.

How far off the national radar is bicycle racing? On ESPN.com's list of sports they have a "Mixed Martial Arts" category, but not cycling.

Ouch. Why (how) did you have a higher moving average with a smaller distance:elevation ratio?

My legs are shot today. Plus I am pretty strong on flats, downhills, and very low grade climbs. I'm gravitationally challenged when it comes to the steep stuff though. For some reason I was feeling pretty good yesterday so I was able to ride pretty well.

I believe that was my highest average speed since I got back on the bike in July. I know it was my highest average wattage ride since I started back.

It caught my eye as I waded through the speculation about the kickoff for the TOC. This quote seemed to pop up a lot.

The UCI are the heads of cycling, they can do what they want and we can't do anything. Everyone sees, cyclists cannot do anything, they can't protest, nothing." - Yaroslav Popovych

The wheels seem like they are destined to the same pile as the PRO and Stella Azurra offerings but only time will tell if they are to curry favor. There is a strong following of 3T wares and I merely put it up for consumption in the ongoing wheel talk.
