I habitually use my road bike to get the mail, less than 20 yards down my driveway.

If the neighbors are out, I make sure to sprint there and back, skidding hard into a slide stop.

I also do this habitually, though never in that context! Jeep Wranglers benefit from drafting sustantially.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Wrangler !! But man, their aerodynamic profile is unfortunately similar to that of a brick.

I enjoy riding a 1987(?) Fuji Tivoli, maybe more than I enjoy riding my new fancy schmancy bike. The Tivoli is girly teal and pink and has toe strap pedals I took off my 1984 Schwinn (until payday). I like it any way. My riding partners won't ride with me when I'm on it. Oh, also - I crashed it the other night. Rode into sand, stalled, couldn't get out of the straps, schlonk. Don't you want to ride with me? Oh who will ride with me?

I purchased a set of ENVE 45 mm carbon clinchers, with Alchemy ELF front and Tune 180 rear hubs. Should weigh about 1320 grams. I didn't tell my wife. They arrive today, boy is she going to be surprised!
