Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

When you hit 'grand', farting comes with the territory.

The amount if time I spend on BF is directly related to the compunction to buy unneeded bike stuffs and the amount of money spent on said stuffs. I don't need another bike, but I am thinking of my next build because it is 'almost spring'.

That's a problem?

I also admit that whenever I'm on Strava and see someone has accidentally entered a ride with 0 miles, I have to give them a kudo.

I stop shaving my legs in the winter and restart in the spring which means I shave for vanity alone.

Too fat for this sport, I weigh 102kg's at a body length of 1.86m.
I not even nearly make enough mileage on my road bike.
I love the idea of having an awesome bike, but still wouldn't ride as much as I should.
My bike is too fat for this sport, it weighs around 11kg's.

I cannot fart while I am pedaling. I have to coast and stand up on the pedals. Not knowing why, is causing me mental anguish.

I was over at my dad's helping him install a new garage door opener, and needed to cut some angle iron with an angle grinder. I pretty much never wear shoes except at work and on the bike, so I didn't have any shoes with me except my cycling shoes in the trunk of the car. So I put on my cycling shoes to protect my feet from the sparks

I love the 'super hero' look of cycling shorts....
If it wasn't for risks of injuries I would ride with a cape!

Friday night I got all hopped up while watching retro racing videos from the 90's on YouTube, and I ended up buying a Mapei jersey on eBay.

Since I live in rural PA, and not Italy or Belgium, the jersey may be considered a bit flamboyant. I will probably just wear it on cooler days, under a windbreaker. It is similar to this one, but I am NOT getting the matching shorts, ever.

A few years back I spent a weekend researching, doing math, adding costs, compiling supply vendors, all with the intention of making my own CF frame.

While my stem is flipped, it is not slammed.

Really, everyone knows its OK to ride with a cape. The trick is getting everyone to believe you did it so take a picture and post it here. All true "supermen" have done it.

so get riding and have fun.......

I'm not necessarily advocating or condoning this, but... here you go.

I prefer my nasty old Raleigh Competition to my Colnago so nobody expects me to be fast.
