Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That worked.
Imagine how much faster you'd have been if you had bought the Cannondale Supersix Evo instead of that outmoded Cervelo.

You buy a new TT bike. You hope it will make you faster. The first race out with the bike you set a TT PR for average speed.
Or the other way to do it:

I spent some time in the gym this winter, mostly working on lower back strength / core strength. And I'm no gym rat; I had to force myself to go. Maybe 20 sessions of 40 min each.

And I did some time on an indoor mountain bike park while there was still snow.

Result: my peak cruise speed (the max speed I can hold on a flat with no headwind without killing myself) has gone from 38 km/h to 42 km/h.

And my back doesn't hurt after long rides either.

Oddly though, the winter weight has NOT come off for some reason (I think I'm eating too much) so I'm up 15 lbs from last summer.....

I made it a whole minute before the same notion came to me. Do I win something?

It's hot here. I like it. I sweated like Whooshy in a steam bath this AM.

I get my leg ultra sounded on Thursday, we'll see how much of that clot remains at that time. My doc today said
it can take several months for a leg like mine to act normal again. Oh well. Doesn't hurt.

AAPL is up to $397 in after hours trading after another blowout quarter. That's progress.

That's not the other way to buy a TT bike. You'd be faster still on a P3.

Just returned from the Surgeon, and I actually severed my distal tendon( connects the bicep to the forearm). Now either surgery or 35 to 40% loss of power and range of motion in certain situatons). Someone just said last week that I should loose the arms....thanks....Now I'm fat and have only one good arm, and one PCAD size arm...
